Brandon Carr's future with the club likely depends on what happens in the next few weeks of free agency.

Morris Claiborne will be back. Scandrick returns from an injury. The club had Nolan Carroll in for a visit Thursday. The Cowboys also have some interest in Green Bay cornerback Casey Hayward, although no visit has been scheduled.

Heyward has had zero interest around the NFL, very odd since he is young and was ranked as one of the top FAs coming into this.

Yeah I figured he would be one the the 1st to come off the board. Are his contract demands simply too high?

I would bring him in. With Scandrick, Jones and Mo he wouldn't need to be number 1 guy. Jones and Hayward on outside with Scandrick in the slot would be great. Even if Mo was outside and Jones at safety would be great

He finds himself in a strange position where he is perceived to be a good corner, but doesn't have a great resume yet. Maybe we sign him to a one year deal.

He's been a decent #2 Corner and wants to get paid like a #1

What's it going to be then, eh?

I don't know. You might think so, but I cannot see anywhere that he has even taken a visit. Just rather strange.

It is odd because he's a better player than some of these cornerbacks that have signed already.

Perhaps he is looking for boundary corner money and teams see him more as a slot player. He looks more comfortable playing zone and is not a great tackler, so that might be it. I just don't know.

You'd think there'd be some coverage on that if that's what's going on. He's one of the better FAs in this class and nobody's really updated his status.

Must be the amount of money, contract length, terms. Bonus as well as guaranteed money too. Maybe he needs a new agent...LOL...

He is repped by the same agency that has Kaepernick, so maybe they are too busy with that.

I'd be more than ok with this move. The more holes we fill, the more chance of drafting a QB or Elliott.

In my opinion that's the strategy teams should use in free agency. Sign solid and affordable free agents (Thronton) to fill holes then focus on selecting talented players (QB, WR, RB, RT, DT, DE, LB, & S) in the draft.

Hayward, at the right price, would be a solid free agent signing.

Is Patrick Robinson still out there? Former first round pick who has struggled but was pretty good last year. If you want to take a risk on a high ceiling guy, he could be that guy.

What the heck does interest even mean?? Either we bring them in and kick the tires or not!

Lessens the blow of losing Ramsey to the Charger, Titans, or Browns.

I've come to the point that I just think agents always say Dallas is interested in their client as a tool to grt some publicity.

You're probably right. We are interested in almost every player, but they never come in. It's getting old.
