We are going to have the exact same secondary. Learn it, like it.....love it!
Same secondary + same lb core + worse dline = no bueno

I wouldn't bring the exact same core of players but you have to factor in a few things....
Scandrick will be back.
Lawrence and Gregory SHOULD be better.
Crawford SHOULD be better.
I can't stress how much better Thornton is than Hayden.
Byron Jones should be better.
You bring in a Ramsey or a Jack.....the defense will be better. Just how much better is the question.

Who knows what Scandrick we get back after his injury. (plus, he was never an int machine)

That's the positive. Our line is young and haven't reached there prime yet.. Our safety's will be better with Jones back there full time. Having scandrick backand Thornton is huge!
Don't see much hope there.
Gregory is basically a rookie and suspended 4 games
Dlaw has had about 5 good games over 2 years and has a bad back Injury
Crawford is about average and has a bad shoulder
No DE on the other side
Thornton should be better than hay den at the run.
2 Injury prone linebackers as starters.
Not many corners are.. The fact is they don't throw at him much in the nickel
He gets thrown at. He isn't Deion. (teams stayed away from)
I didn't say he was deion.. I said he doesn't get thrown at much. He's an above average corner

I don't recall too many testing him either. Not saying its because of skill....for all I know they may like to attack our other corners but Scandrick doesn't get tested too much while he's guarding slot receivers.

(Deion was the player that teams didn't throw to at his side much) Scandrick, he gets thrown at, teams don't shy away from him.
So that means he wasn't targeted much right?I see it. And yes, I watch the games. Maybe teams have other wr's they want to expoit, thus it may seem he wasn't tested.
Its 2016 not 1988. Everybody is coming back from injury looking the same these days.

Well we just differ on how we view these guys. You seem to view them as bums. Fair enough. I think Crawford and Lawrence have potential to be better than they were last season. I don' think their ceilings are "average". Whether Gregory will be a "rookie" or not....he will be better than he was last season. Thornton is more than just better agains the run. He's overall a superior player to Hayden. You don't have to worry about guys running him over or Hayden being back peddled on skates.
