The 500k is not negligible and we don't need his money to do anything. Why throw good space away when we can roll it into next year?

Because we can use the other 2.5m this year to help this team right now

I'm not a moralist, but they have to rid themselves of guys with demonstrated track records of poor decision-making. If they don't, it undermines the whole "RKG" notion.

For crying out loud there's no dependency on Marijuana. Its relaxing and a nice night cap after a hard days work, I get that. My employer however does random UAs so I can not partake. I have to be a big boy and take care of my responsibilities. There is no withdrawal, not smoking pot is as simple as deciding to not smoke pot. RoMac simply doesnt care enough to quit. Hes got the body of a warrior and the mind of a punk.

There are different kinds of addictions.
Some are addicted to food.
Some are addicted to gambling.
Some are addicted to shopping.

There are people with addictive personalities that can be addicted to things beyond a chemical dependency. When you are willing to forfeit tens of millions of dollars to smoke pot, you're addicted.

That's where Rolondo McClain is.

It's no different than a guy willing to gamble away his children's college money or his mortgage money.

Sure, its a psychological addiction. Its not physical and there is no withdrawal. Its not like we are talking about heroin here. Ive known several completely undisciplined people that quit smoking pot because thier life required them to do so. RoMac just doesnt give a damn about football. That is the same reason why he had to be coaxed from retirement and he doesnt show up to voluntary OTAs.

Dallas is different team without McClain. Fingers crossed on Jaylon Smith.

"McClain skipped the team's offseason program and reported to the mandatory minicamp well over his playing weight of 255 pounds. He has wondered aloud among teammates and club employees about whether he wants to continue to play.

In a sport that requires passion for continued excellence, McClain appears indifferent at best. That attitude doesn't fit the culture coach Jason Garrett strives to establish.

Will McClain board the team charter when it departs for Southern California next week?

Don't bet on it."

More support for the belief that he will never play another snap for the Cowboys.
