When all the arguments fail bring up Tony. Classic
Considering that Tony only threw all of two picks in the playoffs, one on a desperation heave on 4th down on the last play of the game, AC like usual has no argument. He just brings in Tony because he buys the BS “choker” label started and propagated by the anti-Cowboys media and it is a deflection away from Dak’s choking.

Why was Dak and the offense forced to abandon the run in the playoffs vs GB?
It doesnt matter about the Defense conceding.....That's going to happen from time to time.

The nuance is that certain fans are BLAMING the lack of running game, when in reality Dak chose to abandon it. Unfortunately, that highlights (as established in Jimmie Ward's quotes) Dak cant function when he doesnt have a running game. Dak's part in this, is composure, tough it out with a gradual mixed offense, until he's back to 'game control Dak'.

What's showing is that we need a stellar Defense that never concedes more than 6pts, which is difficult to do (with these 3 mega contracts), and if Dak is insisting on a short term contract that doesnt allow heavy restructuring.

Agreed on the greedy contracts, but disagree on everything else. It's extremely hard to win in the playoffs when you have absolutely no run game, only 1 legit WR and your defense fails to show up.

Don't take this the wrong way, because I agree with you. When our team is in trouble, Dak spits the bit. But our D could have helped out. Remember the playoff game between the Jags and Chargers? When Lawrence did his best Dak impression plus some? In the first half, he did worse than any playoff game Dak ever played. Yet their D stood their ground in the second half allowing them to come back and win. Cowboys seem to suck at the end of the season.
Agreeing again, but the whole discussion (for me) would be (and I think you've mention it as well), that Dak's main part in this, is to acknowledge that he needs that well stocked Defense, to keep him in the @comfort zone'. For that to happen, he's really going to need a long contract, to factor in and restructure that high AAV (and the $40m Dead Money).

Im sure that's what Broaddus was alluding to, in the Love of the Star clip I posted previously.

So how do you get all of that: top WR2, Running game, elite Defense and Dak getting $55m+ (plus $40m Dead Money)....if Dak wants 3/4 year contract...... THAT IS THE ISSUE, length of contract (which is in Dak's control) and why it's pertinent to the other issues within the roster.....which HE needs to succeed.

Your very comment that you "disagree on everything else", is pure Dak deflection, look at what ive just replied to @Flamma (especially that Broaddus clip).

IMO, even with a lengthy contract it isn't workable. It's just too much leftover money to pay a QB that isn't elite. He's not Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, or Aaron Rodgers. He does not elevate the team one iota, other than to say he's better than what we have that can replace him. If the team struggles, don't count on Dak to bring you back, it's not happening. Do they want to invest that much money in that?

That's a very fair opinion, and totally agree that Dak's recent play-off performances indicate needs too much (O-Line, running game, WR2, run Defense and from GB secondary). I flip-flop over this and can certainly support building a team behind strong O and D lines and arm-chairing a rookie or lesser vet QB with the saved CAP.

My suggestion on a career ending contract would be LONG, really backdated and ALL-IN, however, it would be scary as the pressure of that contract and the responsibility for the cliff-fall that follows would possibly be too much for Dak to shoulder.
