Dak is truth, tho. He's legit. He went off in his first ever postseason appearance. He will be more successful than Wentz.

We are definitely in the middle of a "changing of the guard" in the NFL as far as QB's are concerned. Over the next 5 years we'll be saying goodbye to Romo, Rivers, Roethlisberger, Palmer, Eli, Brees, Brady, and maybe Rodgers. That will leave us with young guys like Dak, Wentz, Wilson, Mariota, Winston, Newton, and Carr. It will be interesting to see which of these younger guys will take that next step and become "elite". We definitely got lucky with Dak. I believe he is the real deal and will be this teams QB for a very long time.

Brady will be 40 next season. Romo 37. Ryan 32. Drew Brees turns 39 in January, the same month Aaron Rogers enjoys his 34th birthday and Carson Palmer his 38th. Roethlisberger will be 35 in March and he's hinting at the end of a career.

Recent drafts of Manziel, Bortles, Osweiler haven't delivered, and though Mariota and Winston have looked good...they don't have the leadership qualities, maturity and decision making that we've already seen in Prescott.

Meanwhile draft pundits decried the absence of top quarterbacks in the 2016 class. Rumors are that Rams officials knew Goff was a bust by the end of mini-camps. Wentz didn't seem to improve during the '16 season. (to Risen's utter dismay)

No quarterbacks in the 2017 class are seen as sure things.

In Dallas? All Dak did is enjoy the greatest season ever seen by a rookie quarterback. He's 23 and signed on a ridiculously affordable contract.

We are in a are very enviable position, bros.

I would put Russell Wilson in the "young" class of high quality QB's (he's 28, so he has a lot of quality years ahead) along with Mariota, Winston, Dak, Cam, and Carr. I still think Wentz will end up being a good one, too, and I wouldn't at all call Goff a bust just yet, but the Rams have to get some solid coaching and keep them, for continuity's sake. Hard for a young QB to progress if the system keeps changing. Bridgewater might be a good one, too, if he recovers from injury (very questionable at the moment).

aside from Wilson and Prescott, all of the current up and comers are all high draft picks. it still amazes me that dallas, potentially, has found their last 2 franchise QB's in the 4th round and Romo an undrafted rookie free agent. I sure hope the Cowboys struck gold twice. and if they did, they need to take advantage of Dak's window tenfold in comparison to Romo's window being virtually wasted. That was inexcusable. Fate won't keep rewarding us hidden gems.

Luck is certainly a good one, but he's also now on a 6-year $140 million contract. There isn't much talent surrounding him and he's always running for life.

We had a chance to see Winston versus Dak this season and Winston versus Dak...I like Prescott best.

I expect Seattle and Carolina to return to top form. We will likely get to witness heavy-weight battles against those two teams.

And of course its true that Ryan are Rogers aren't going to start to fade in the next year or two...so there's that.

If I'm not mistaken, Dak had five 4th quarter come from behind wins in the regular season and actually had another in his only playoff game (but that one won't count because of the last second FG that beat them). I'm convinced that had he gotten a shot in OT, he would have led the team to a TD for the win. He just never got the opportunity.

There is little doubt in my mind that if Dak has the same season Wentz had, many here would be talking him up as a great QB of the future.

Sean McVay is purportedly an insanely smart guy and a bit of a quarterback whisperer. It will be interesting wRams.
