Smh we just love to struggle and look like fools.

Shaub, MO, Carr and up and coming joke Williams.

We are slowly but surely producing a roster full of clowns.

It will soon be Keith Davis, reeves, lance Frazier, ball, Ross, bradie James ect ect type of players filling out our roster once again.

what the.....

Now that he signed with Baltimore, get ready for the "why were we sleeping on Schaub" crowd.

I don't understand all of the Weeden hate.

I guess the Cardinals game wasn't too great, but for a backup, what more do you expect?

Really? ... that is all you expect from our 2nd string QB?

Honestly wouldn't have minded him coming in to backup TR.

Plus, all those Texans fans who were saying Schaub was the top QB in Texas a few years ago could've ate another serving of crow.

You could do a lot worse from a backup QB who's thrown in during the middle of the season than 18/33, 183 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs, and 1 sack.

Yeah, it sucks by starting QB standards, but for someone who's going to do nothing but hold a clipboard the rest of his career? He might just be better than Geno Smith at least

EDIT: by the way, now that I'm looking at the box score for the Cardinals game, it looks like Weeden got that TD in garbage time. I may need to retract my statement :)

It's easy to make vague statements like that. What's tougher is actually naming someone available (and cheap) who would be a better backup than Schaub.

I am disappointed it looks like we won't get him. He's a much better option than Weeden and probably the best option I can think of available.

I'd take the best available QB in a late round and live with it. No need to name anyone because I don't think Schaub can get the job done anymore so I'd much rather go the developmental route and live with whatever marginal drop off in quality there may be.
