And Adams is more likely than not only mainly getting any interview at all because the new DC worked with him in IND a couple of years, and suggested it.

There will be another interview. Adams may get the job, but if he does, one should be suspicious that it came down to money. There's a lot of reason to think former Parcells asst and current WAS running game coord Anthony Lynn (Schotty's RB coach @ NYJ in 09 and 10) is going to be that guy, and yet, there's a lot of reason to think Lynn will come with a higher price tag.

But fans embarrass themselves when they start pretending they can possibly have some salient insight into even merely which position coaches are exceptional at their job... let alone which ones are capable of making the jump to coordinator. There is only so much insight to be had when you can't watch practices, can't be in the building during film sessions, etc. Sometimes a running game excels as much if not more because of the talent on the offense. Often, even. It's been a criticism of Schotty's handful of premium years, and it's a valid criticism. We can't know what we can't possibly know.

I could see something like that happening where the OC is essentially an OL and run game specialist. It scares me a little bit with a 1st time HC going into year 1, but it makes some sense with an offensive HC that you could have the OC split duties.

If you remember Tony Sipriano has our run game coordinator and oc. Remember Schott will be the play caller

Doubtful, I bet money that he will bring someone in. Oline coach is critical to our success.

Having an OC with that background could prove complimentary.

It has been done before, perhaps like another poster said, only way to get him is a promotion title
