If the plan is not to go Wentz or Goff at 4 and Prescott or Hogan later.................. I wouldn't be opposed at all at moving down and trying to pick up another couple of picks. It's been said that this is a fairly deeper draft on the defensive side. So if you aren't taking Wentz or Goff, trade back, pick up another 2nd and/or 3rd rounder and that gives you multiple picks in the 2nd and 3rd round where there could be some very good DT prospects and some good secondary options.

Don't hate him, but I fail to see the use in grabbing him.

If you apply "instant impact" to choosing a QB the 4th pick, why endorse burning a 3rd round choice that could be used for another "instant impact player"?

I would not mind him as long term number two. As a number one I have serious doubts.

I would not use anything higher than a 4th round comp choice on a player like that.

I can see it now.

Romo gets hurt, we go into 2017 still not knowing what we have and get, "Well, Dak did the right things, plays football the right way, he's a football player. We feel good about him and the position."

My perfect scenario would be Lynch dropping from the late 1st to our pick at 34, but if not I would be more than happy with Prescott as our pick in the 4th round.

And he has big hands. Woo woo!

If we like Lynch and that happens, I'd explore a small trade up to 31 to get him. As a 1st rounder, we'd get a 5th year option on him.

I completely agree with that.

Yah I am talking about a Cousins situation. The future starter at 4 and Prescott with the comp 4. I think he could be a valuable backup.
