Guy stares down his receivers and he runs too much.

Give me a Pro-style QB. I'll pass on this kid.

I am thinking more about his accuracy issues, but compared Kellen Moore he is Cam Newton.

Yah I am talking about a Cousins situation. The future starter at 4 and Prescott with the comp 4. I think he could be a valuable backup.

RGIII played right away. This would be like telling RGIII, "you will be sitting on the bench for two years while this lower drafted, lesser paid guy will be the backup." I'm sure that works out great for everyone's confidence as well...

Ugh, I cant take anymore of the Lynch at 34 fantasy. IT AINT GONNA HAPPEN. Five teams need a QB including the Cowboys. For god sakes stop.

Two years ago Derek Carr and Teddy Bridgewater were talked about exactly the same way, potentially being top ten picks who were rated in the middle of the first round. That's exactly where Lynch is right now.

Carr went at 32 and Bridgewater at 36. This time of year fans have 70 guys listed as first round picks, that is the fantasy part of this discussion.

What makes you think the guy at 4 wouldnt play right away. I dont see Romo as the picture of durability going forward. Having to pay him and having him healthy enough to play are seperate issues.

Says who? The hair? Melsy is for entertainment only. I bet you five bucks he doesnt make it past the Rams at 15.

I haven't read a word from Mel Kiper in ten years, maybe more. Google the mock drafts and show me how many list Lynch anywhere higher than the middle of the first. Some of them already pick him to go in the second round.

Don't hate him, but I fail to see the use in grabbing him.

If you apply "instant impact" to choosing a QB the 4th pick, why endorse burning a 3rd round choice that could be used for another "instant impact player"?

Because that's where you see the value for the QB's in this draft?

Picking a guy to sit and learn in the third is a pretty big leap from picking on at #4. My guess is, if they did this, they don't believe Wentz/Goff are potential franchise guys--not that they had to have immediate impact.

There are more arguments than immediate impact vs. sit and wait

Everytime I hear about or see Prescott this is what I immediately think of:

Not a Prescott fan but I do like lynch and any player can fall. Green Bay can vouch for that
If I was guessing I would guess lynch goes middle of first but you just never know what's going to happen on draft day, he could go number 1 or 34, or anywhere in between or after

Oh I definitely agree with that.

It's just that every year someone slips that no one expected to.

I think Lynch goes top 15.

Him and Hogan are the two I think they target in 4th round. 1st three rounds will be used on defense.

This is how I would approach things, while picking up an extra pick and two defensive tackles. Maybe a defensive end in the 2nd/3rd round.

if Dallas takes him - I have lost all faith in our scouting dept

If Dallas takes him, it will only reaffirm what I already believed about their scouting department. Maybe they are thinking about converting him to WR like that Stanback guy?

He is a great kid, a good college QB and he will be a waste of s draft pick. He does not have NFL talent at the QB position. With that being said, it would be a typical Dallas pick. Living in Mississippi, I have watched him more than 99% of fans and he is not good enough. There are many college QBs every year that has his talent and fails.

Couple of questions, how much of your opinion was from his undergrad seasons? Also did he get reasonably good coaching? I've only seen him in the Senior Bowl but from the short eyeball test he looked like a guy that would improve a ton with NFL quality coaching.

They could still view Goff, Wentz or Lynch as "franchise" and pass if the dominating thought is "win now", then it makes zero sense to waste a 3rd on a QB that is less talented.

I do not trust this franchise to break out of the thought processes they have shown for years, that they are still a player away.

I do see them feeling compelled to draft a QB "for the future", but failing to recognize that the deeper you do that, the less chance they have to make it. And that it might impact their willingness to pull the trigger in future years.
