I'm a Broaddus fan, as I know many are, though I probably find myself disagreeing with him as often as I find myself agreeing. But on this particular front, I hope he's recognizing that he appears to have gotten out in front of the story by being so critical over the last month of the front office's optimism. While I appreciate the sentiment in general that fans should understand that the execs, staff and coaches all have some built-in motive for being more glass-half-full than empty, in his rush to attempt to be Mr. Balanced, it's sounding like he took a step or two beyond what probably was appropriate here.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that, because I could be. But I just listened to last week's podcast-palooza with him on TC, and that's my admittedly-knee jerk reaction.
