Sounds crazy, but Zeke should not be re-signed. Give him the 5th year option and then cut ties. No way to dump a massive contract on a 6th year RB with tons of mileage on him by then.

they could even Tag him in 2021

I don't like Zeke's long term work ethic..... his six pack is now a pony keg

- Clubs are permitted to contact, and enter into contract negotiations with, the certified agents of players who will become Unrestricted Free Agents

__

On this day, the Cowboys can begin negotiating a extension with Lawrence, their other unrestricted free agents as well as any from around the league as the "legal tampering period" gets underway. It'll give them an opportunity to get a head start on players like safety Earl Thomas, for example, someone they were willing to give up a second-round pick for in 2018, before being stiff-armed by the Seattle Seahawks.

Soon-to-be recovered from a season-ending injury and without the shackles of a contract, barring the Seahawks tagging him, Thomas and the Cowboys can speak without the Seattle middleman.
