A couple of years ago they were claiming during games that the Cowboys believed Carter was the fastest LB in the nfl.

Thanks for that!

What immediately jumps out at me...

-Durant brings some serious physical skills to the table
-Holloman... not so much
-Hitchens has some physical skills... probably enough for the MLB spot

Sean Lee is known for being a hard working & cerebral player, but he is an impressive athlete as well. It's not just quick diagnosis and getting a jump on the play, he literaly explodes towards the ball.

inside linebackers are thought to be devalued in today's NFL, although they are keys to three of the best defenses in the league -- Seattle, San Franscisco and Carolina.

Mosley....:(

One other point...

IF the starters had been Durant, Lee and Carter... Physically that would have been a pretty top-notch group.

"Huge" probably means more muscle and maybe more weight in the off-season, but I would expect his playing weight to be about the same.

The weights in the chart are all from the draft.

Literally? No wonder he's hurt all the time! ;-)

Have you ever considered contributing something to the board other than meaningless one-liners?

I think there are many people that are intimidated by numbers and the audacity that someone would dare rank a player using a number.

For what it is worth, these are quotes Bob McGinn published from NFL scouts for Bruce Carter:

Seems ideally suited for weak side in a 4-3 but some scouts project him at weak inside in a 3-4. "His best thing is speed," Carolina scouting director Don Gregory said. "He can run." Might have been able to sprint right with Miller at the combine but blew out a knee Nov. 20. "He's going to slide a little bit," one scout said. "Good player. Active and instinctive. Nose for the ball. Not a bad hitter. Not a killer." Described as "so non-physical" by another scout. "Most decidedly a finesse linebacker," he said. Hails from Havelock, N.C., where he was a prep QB. Started 44 of 49 games, finishing with 215 tackles (24 for loss), 9½ sacks, seven "big" plays and seven blocked kicks (six were punts). "He's going to be puffed up higher than what I think he really is," a third scout said. "Undisciplined. Athletic, but doesn't make the most of it. Not under control a lot of the time. He's not a downhill thumper, either. Not a big, heavy, blow delivery guy. He will absorb a lot." Wonderlic of 20.

and when YOU don't like the numbers they mean nothing. Or more often you can't bring yourself to make a judgment at all. I remember all the time you spent defending our O line JAGs like Costa and company.
