It’s in Daks best interest to play at least one half. If he doesn’t play and stinks game 1 like last year, it’ll be because he didn’t play in the preseason. If he gets hurt game 1, fans will say he didn’t toughen up during the preseason
Why….hes just going to suck anyway?

Show me exactly where they posted they hate Dak.
As their man-crush, Mr.Prescott continues to lay those eggs they use the word HATE to take this football issue and move it to a social-emotional issue for reasons anyone can comprehend.
Never have posted that I hate Mr. Prescott (which quite frankly is irrelevant as I do not know the man personally) and I'm sure he might be nice and all that Jazz but as a QB he is incompetent when it counts and we are going nowhere fast with him under center!
Is this Hate?
NO.....just a football reality which quite of few people here have a problem with.
COWBOYS!!!!! We were here before Dak and Ya can't wait till he hits the road and we just might upgrade to an SB-caliber QB!!!!

@baltcowboy issued an apology to the ones he called "Dak haters" after the 49ers game 2 years ago and he was "done with Dak".

He quickly hoped right back on that Dak wagon thinking things were going to be different lololololololol

Dak fans are not Cowboys fans.
Ya, I remember that but once a Dak-bot always a Dak-Bot I guess....... :muttley:

Personally, players and coaches usually say the starters get more out of the practice sessions vs other teams than from the preseason events. I don’t think we need to expose hardly any of our starters to playing against scrubs who are fighting for their careers in preseason.

We seem to have more depth this year than I can remember for decades. Play most of the youngsters in order to better evaluate them.
This. I just assume sit Dak, Pollard, Martin (this one is sitting himself), CD, Tyron, Tyler, Steele, definitely Parsons, Diggs, LVE, the 3 safeties, DLaw. I feel risking any season ending injuries to these players is not worth it. I’ll take a rusty 1st half or even a loss in week 1 if it means Parsons doesn’t get a season ending injury in a meaningless game. That’s my take on all of the guys listed above.

Now who I want to see get a ton of work and reps in the preseason games is all the rookies. KJ, Cox, Clarke, Ball, Waj, etc. we need to see what we have with them and get them some more experience. Or realize who to give up on and who still has growing to do. KJ and Ball come to my mind as players I want to be the starters and play every rep of preseason. They need the work and we need to know if it’s time to move on from them.

I understand that, but, with a new playbook, I'd hope they reconsider. I'd like him to at least get one drive/series in just so that he can feel comfortable with the new playbook.

I say at least a Half, brother. New playbook along with new key starters need some kind of live game exposure during the preseason before the games count.

If he's not going to have a full OL in front of him, then hell no.

For what it's worth, they were saying on the Pat McAfee show prior to the HOF game that the coaches usually ask the other coaches if they are going to rush the kickers and such. I'd imagine they'd ask the other coaches how much pressure they're going to send to the QB to determine how much they plan to play the starting QB. I'm going to guess that Mike was told something that he doesn't like with the current oline situation.

I get that, and that would be good for Dak. However, I have a hunch, if what Pat McAfee was saying is correct, that Mike McCarthy was told something he didn't like when it comes to Dak.

What was it?

I think it was on the Pat McAfee Show prior to the HOF Game that he mentioned that coaches will ask the other coaches how hard they plan on rushing the kickers. This is to determine what kicker, if they have multiple, to use. I'd imagine they'd do the same thing when it comes to starters. Given that we start our preseason against the Jaguars, Mike and the Jags coaches probably asked each other their defence plans for what to do with Dak and Trevor Lawrence. I'm guessing that Mike was told something he didn't like.

Ok. Do you know what they said about Dak that Mike McCarthy didn't like?

What was it?

For what it's worth, here's the episode where he basically breaks down the preseason.

In it, he mentions, for example, that the Pats got upset at the Panthers for constantly blitzing on 3rd down. So, I'm going to guess, based on what Pat is saying, that the other coaches gave him an answer involving Dak that Mike didn't like.

No, but, based on the way he explained the preseason, my educated guess is that Mike probably didn't like the answer he was given.
Hmm, I'm still curious, especially since Dak never played in any preseason games last year. I haven't watched the video you posted in your previous comment, but I will check it out later today. Thanks for sharing brother.

Sounds good. I don't know if what he said is accurate, but I have no reason to doubt him on that. I'd imagine the coaches in a preseason game would want to, for the safety of their players, make a gentleman's agreement on what they're going to do in certain situations.
