It isn't that surprising, I doubt Moore gets any major offers in FA. Also the odds of the team drafting a CB are very high, if the team feels Patmon will improve next year Moore could very well be the 5th CB.

Saw this and thought 4 possible things:

1. They think they can sign him to a contract with a smaller cap hit than the tender.
2. They love the CB depth in this draft.
3. They want to give Claiborne every opportunity to prove/redeem himself.
4. They just aren't high on Moore.

He was abused in the Packers game, bad. We aren't losing a all pro or something. Do knows he might still come back, just seeing what his offers are first

Problem is there wasn't much down side to tendering him. He could still test the market and we had a right to match. By not tendering, it says we don't want him back, which is odd.

And yea he got abused, but he was solid all season for us

Tendering you guarentee him a couple million. Cowboys probably dont want to be on the hook for 2 million for Moore

Evidently, the Cowboys aren't overly impressed with what Moore had to offer last year and are willing to chance losing him in the hope that he realizes the market for him is limited. Perhaps a more modest contract than he expects will be the result. If that's not the case, the FO obviously feels he's welcome to go elsewhere. The draft is a good one that would likely provide a capable CB replacement for him. The staff evidently thinks one will likely be available that could fill his role acceptably.

He is solid and dependable... not great but is solid and coverage and plays the ball well. Arguably our best CB. I would hate to lose him.

Scandrick is our best CB by far and there's no comparison between the two. Moore's serviceable and that's approximately what the organization apparently believes enough to put his spot at risk.

5) All the above. I expect at least two new DBs on the roster in Sept.
