The Cowboys have never had a high opinion of Moore and have shown it in several instances where they have released him twice and restricted his usage on the outside, where it's been reported that they don't trust him. It seems fairly obvious to me that he may have stepped on the wrong toes during negotiations and they decided they'd prefer to cut bait and tread other avenues. The draft has an ample supply of CBs with ability this year. Who knows, it's even possible Moore may not like what he's offered by other teams and decide to return to his old team.

Other teams have had numerous chances to sign the guy also.

No team is going to sign Moore to be a #2 CB... that ain't happening. And most teams would want a young developmental guy as their #3... not someone like Moore.

Moore isn't getting any sort of windfall from anyone.

not surprised by the moore decision, VERY surprised by tendering the punter? Dunbar I like, but if there is nothing in return if he signs elsewhere, then why tender at all? just so you don't have to think about what to pay them? color me confused by these moves

Right to match? Willing to pay the tendered salary?

But hey, we tendered Dunbar. Thank god, he played a huge role for us last year. What a joke.

Problem is there wasn't much down side to tendering him. He could still test the market and we had a right to match. By not tendering, it says we don't want him back, which is odd.

And yea he got abused, but he was solid all season for us

Think back to 2013 after he was cut in Training Camp. We then went through the season digging under every rock to find a CB before finally giving in and re-siging him. Despite what we see as avg play, it may just be that the coaches don't like him.

Hmmm. I have been high on Lorenzo Doss as a option with our 4th round pick lately. would be a nice Moore replacement. Can see him developing into our starting slot corner. Athletic and physical playmaker.

If that is true I would expect Dunbar to sign his tender immediately. I don't think there is any way that he will sign for more on the open market. Does anyone here think that tendering Dunbar tips the scales one way or the other on Murray?

so if we didn't tender the punter, repeat, the punter...we would be without his services? is there anyone in their right mind that would sign our punter if we didn't? not bloody likely...dunbar? I can see that, but not the others...

He was abused in the Packers game, bad. We aren't losing a all pro or something. Do knows he might still come back, just seeing what his offers are first

The field was wet and All our DB's got abused in the second half, guys were slipping and sliding out there..

He wasnt the only guy abuse that game. We will have to replace his productivity with hardly any money. I like him, for what we paid him he was very solid for us.

He is number 3-4 corner we aren't losing much. He made some plays but gave up some plays too. That being said he is young and has more developing to do, would love to bring him back but if not doesn't hurt my feelings

I don't want excuses, we had chances to win. Greenbay played on the same field, did they not slip and fall

I'm not making excuses just stating facts. It was a tight game and we got robbed by the NY mafia.. Perhaps GB had better cleats that day but all our guys were slipping and sliding.. Home field advantage has its perks...

Replace him with who at his price ? The last corner we drafted that actually stuck was Orlando and that was in 2007.

I'd like to have him back. The secondary was noticeably better when Mo went out and Moore came in. Would be a good nickel corner. This is a sure sign that Dallas will attempt to acquire a corner that can come in and start right away.
