SF winning makes it very unlikely they trade up to #3 for the second QB, and the 5th team (Jacksonville) and 6th team (Baltimore) don't need QBs. They would have to give up a future #1 to do that and I doubt they would.

This is why I want to trade down from #4 to pick #10 or so. You could still get Ezekiel Elliott in the first and Carson Wentz in the second, but still pick up a starting caliber CB, LB or WR with the extra second.

If he's sitting a while, I like Wentz. Goff is ready to roll and Lynch isn't far off (although Lynch is going to get more interest because he looks the part ...).

In the SF Bay Area, the buzz is Chip Kelly coming to work with Kaepernick.

And do what? Run?

Please. He's a solid passer. Typical development for a super athletic QB - hurt a bit, running less and fundamentals exposed. He's been in a crap situation for two years now. Might look better with better coaching

He had great coaching up with Harbaugh and co. until this year. He had been regressing for more than this year.

Like Griffin, there was always the big read-option year. It was basically like the Wildcat craze that everyone figured out.

With Cleveland moving on from Manziel, it's highly likely they take a quarterback and it'll probably be Goff so he'll be off the board when we pick. I guess it depends on how Jerry and Co. feel about Lynch and if he's worth taking as the number four pick. I personally feel like he's a project and could benefit being on the bench for a couple years to learn and develop. The Cowboys have plenty of options on what to do with the pick. You could take a guy like Bosa to strengthen the line, Ramsey to improve the secondary or take Jaylen Smith or Myles Jack to help the Linebacker core. Hell, Treadwell could be an option too as the number two receiver, but I think the coaching staff is comfortable with T-Will. They could even trade back and get an extra pick in the first or second round.

I personally would try and trade back and attempt to get a second first round pick and take one of the guys mentioned above as well as Carson Wentz. I would love to get him in the early second round, but I don't think he'll get past the Texans. I think Wentz would be a perfect guy to get and let him sit behind Romo and pick his brain.

BTW, with the Cowboys picking at 4, the standard chart you see for trade value has it as almost perfect fit to trade the fourth pick for the 10th pick and the 10th pick of the second round.

4 and 34 or 10, 34 and 41.

I don't think I could turn down that offer.
