Cowboys look to Draft Culture Changing 1st Rounders

That is what was posted and implied in another thread. Supposed from a news article. I did not read the art lie at the time, I didn’t have time to. That is why I put in the disclaimer.
You want question something, a significant car crash with 20 year olds at 4:00 AM and no sobriety test was administered? In what jurisdiction can that possibly be standard procedure?

I agree about needing a change of culture. No more only in it for the money guys. Micah, Diggs, Dlaw and so many others while good at times and even exceptional at others didn’t inspire their teammates and were selfish in some ways. We need some Michael Irvin’s on this team. Guys that want to win so badly it hurts and will do whatever it takes. This is not about being a choir boy.
I don’t think you should include DLaw. If I remember correctly, he took a pay cut at some point.

He just never seemed to me like his heart was in it. More interested in “hot boys” references and complaining about being tired. Lol. I can’t imagine Bob Lilly or Too Tall Jones complaining after a loss about being tired.

"90% of leadership is who you are."

No NFL vet is listening to a rookie. Once that rookie picks up a few Pro Bowl nods, people will start paying attention to his opinions.

IMO, I think it’s just DLaw’s demeanor that makes it seem that way. I also won’t hold it against him for one time he made an ill advised comment about being tired. But the hot boyz crap I really hated.

Probably not but I don’t think going to a free meaningful pro bowls it’s the criteria. I would assume play on the field, demeanor and work ethic would be reasons to respect a guy. And it would take more than one season to prove that.

The culture has to change, but it has to change from the top. A couple of good rookies aren't going to do crap to the culture, if the culture is still driven by Jerry & co.

What did DLaw say about the culture in Dallas as he left the building and went on to be a key cog in Seattle's Super Bowl championship?

Here we go again with "culture change". Just give us Lucy's football for goodness sakes.

Culture isn’t a guy who is a choir boy. It’s someone who is going to get in someone’s rear end when they are loafing. You know, the opposite of country club
It's why I say Dak isn't some alpha leader. The dude had some schmoe defense punk his butt in training camp for goodness sake.

And yes...you HAVE to do it PUBLICLY....Troy Aikman style.

Still a "country club" in my opinion. In fact even worse...I've seen trash talking and challenges in the club.

What first rounder is going to change the GM? He is the ultimate trendsetter for the team. Not guys who are coming and going through the locker room.

Oh Boy. The should be interesting.
Not only do thy need playmakers. And tout BPA. Now another criteria is they must be able to change the culture of the team. Not just on the field but in the locker room as well.

Does this limit players they are looking for?
Does this mean Bain is off the board, because of his 2 year old off the field incident, of where a passenger died from the car accident. That he left the scene of, supposedly. I don't really know all that much about it.

Or does "Culture Changing Players" really mean nothing to discuss. As it is saying the same thing as High Character Players"
But they always come up with some what they think is cute saying. But it really sounds dumb at they same time.
No player will change the culture here
Witten
Lee
Zac Martin
Parsons

No one could do it

Need to draft a new owner and GM if you want to change the culture. The rest is window dressing

Which is why I said, it is just another one of typer stupid off season statements.

A lot of reports lately that people think Styles will fall some because he is an off ball LB....even some saying into the 20's. Would be hard to believe. He was high before all the workouts and then blew them up.

This is simple........no more superstars worrying more about their contracts than their game (see Parsons and Diggs ). This is 100% the stink Parsons amd Diggs contract issues.
