Cowboys looking at ILB / CB in the 1st round

Pouncey will definitely not be there in the 2nd round when we pick unless we trade down from 27 to a high 2.

Side note, Anthony Davis pissed off a ton of scouts by not performing at his pro day. His stock is plummetting.

I wouldn't draft A Davis in the first even though he's got tremendous talent. Too many red flags, imo.

Agree...Got bust written all over him. Can't even act right when his career is on the line.

Whoops! You're right, DC. Looks like he was on and off last season due to several injuries and just didn't get much playing time as a result. For some reason I was thinking he had a more serious injury, but looks like he just had enough to slow his progress his rookie year. Thanks for catching that. :)

OLB Brandon Williams. He was the guy who was down all year with an ACL.

If the Cowboys want an ILB, then trade for one. Cincy is misusing Maualuga by playing him as a 4-3 SAM. Maualuga would be a great backup/future replacement for James. He is already a harder hitter and better in coverage.

If McClain has Crohns, then Cowboys need to stay away.

I can't see the Bengals parting with their 2nd round pick only after one season. I do agree we need to start grooming an ILB to replace Brooking. The question is, is that player on the team already? Jason Williams is an unknown right now and needs to have a solid offseason, Stephen Hodge is coming back from IR last year, so I think the Cowboys will give those two guys a shot to battle it out in camp. I wouldn't be opposed to drafting an ILB in the 2nd or 3rd round (Brandon Spikes anyone?).

Guess it depends. Maualuga is not a 4-3 outside linebacker. Especially in a Zimmer scheme. Bobby Carpenter fits their mold of a 4-3 OLB moreso than Maualuga. And Carp is a former #1 pick.

I take it that Dallas is leaving all option on the table. Yes we need OL help what we do not need to do is take a lesser player just because he plays OL.

Ah jus knew dat if you typed on yer keyboard enuff, like a monkey on a tin drum, you'd come up with something useful.

Hell yeah, if a blue chip OLman is not there, go to our next need, that being secondary.

congrats on a gud response.
