Wow this is sad how desperate we're. Hoping a freaking PS player can save the day when McFadden inevitably gets hurt. Didn't draft a back, didn't re-sign DeMarco. We put our faith in Joseph ******* Randle. Unbelievable.

Yep, the FO botched the RB position so bad, its not even funny

One play away from the NFCCG to digging through the dumpster to find a practice squad scrub at RB in freaking week 8

Just embarrassing

No not in Philly, but in Dallas where he never averaged below 4 yards a carry you honestly think he would have the same success as this year?
Decline? The dude had a record breaking season. He hurt this hand and couldn't stiff arm anybody and still gave the Cowboys a threat in the run game.

Well I guess you choose to believe his Philly regression is soley a scheme thing and I don't.

Not signing Murray, good. He's a flop in Philly, many of their fans are already campaigning for Matthews starting, and it will only get worse from here.

Using that 3rd rounder on a 5th-6th round value in Green over a RB is the highly questionable decision.

I'd have loved to be in our war room when that pick was coming onto the clock.

Sounds like Dallas is looking to sign a RB off someones practice squad to take Randle's spot. Stay tuned...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some names......

Williams, Kerwynn RB
Johnson, Gus RB
Magee, Terrence RB
Watson, Terrell RB
Bibbs, Kapri RB
Grice, Marion RB
Hilliard, Kenny RB
Neal, Rajion RB
James, Mike RB
Williams, Trey RB

So annoying. So this is what it has come down to, going shopping at the local yard sales for RBs, after letting the leading rusher in the league go. And Fatty Stephen insulting our intelligence by saying they'd still let Murray go, given what they know now. Uh yeah, sure. This was the master plan, let the leading rusher go, jettison his backup, and then go hunting for good RBs midseason. Sure Stephen, we believe you.

Doing just fine????????

Yes. McFadden the last 2 games has done exactly what Murray was doing. Can he stay health or can he can continue with this success? Not sure, but at the moment he looks damn good. I know one thing for sure that the running game will be much better when Romo returns. Like I said the problem ain't the running game it's the passing game that is killing us.

One of those names doesn't belong with the rest. Not to slam that player, but he's not in the same league as the others.

But he set all the Franchise records.........things that make you go hmmmmmmm.........

McFadden got 64 yds on 20 carries and needed an IV to get thru the first half.

Our backup isn't sure what team or planet he is on.

We just signed a 5'8" RB off of the Commanders practice squad to our active roster.

That is not anywhere close to 'fine'.

What's it going to be then, eh?

A little hard on Christine Michael, don't you think? Sounds more like Joe Randle and he's gone.

So is he one of the greats in Cowboys history based on setting a franchise record for yards in a year? I'll admit that one could easily argue Walker's status in Cowboys history and you might even argue Calvin Hill a little, but the other two are HOF's. I'm not trying to be disparaging to Murray, I just don't think he is in the class of RB's that he was put in. He was/is a pretty good running back that had one great year, IMO. For those that think otherwise, they're just as entitled to their opinion as I am mine. It's all good.

Do you think Murray would have done better against the Seahawks? If you and the some others think the running game is a mess with this team then you guys don't know much about football. The problem ain't the run its check down passing and not stretching the defense down the field. Once Romo comes back that run game will improve even more.

Yeah, that is kind of how it works........not whether fans memories give them tingles.....

Murray set the single game record.....the single season record......gained 5700yds and 29 TDs in 4 years

just because Emmitt and TonyD are HOFers, it doesn't belittle what Murray accomplished. In fact it is almost unprecedented for a team to let a player like Murray go. Teams just don't dump the AP Player of the Year.

He did last year against a tougher D.

No one on the Cowboys this year could hold Murray's jock.

3 3s don't equal a 9.

I understand your point, and I wasn't attempting to belittle Murray at all, I just don't think he's the same caliber of RB as the others he was mentioned with. I'm glad Murray was a Cowboy, and he was a great teammate and a very good RB, but not a great RB, IMO.
