Cowboys looking into Kelvin Benjamin and Devante Parker

look.... my feelings on this subject are simple. There is going to be no STUD that has proven recently they are a stud available. Theilen, Brown, Julio, Diggs, none of those guys are gonna be available. So what we dont need is a DECENT WR with a big contract coming here. We are not SB contenders this year, so I am ok with just waiting till the next draft. If we feel we need a wr so bad, then we should use a very high draft pick on one. A decent WR will quickly become a bad one upon arriving to see who is throwing them balls anyways.

agree 100%. Benjamin is a freak of nature and he looks like a HS Sr playing against JR high kids as far as size . I would LOVE to get the guy if we had a QB that could get him the ball. Once again, what good is it for us to give up draft picks to get a WR when we simply dont have the qb to throw ANY WR the ball down the field?????

As I said earlier, don't think of him as a downfield threat. He's a big guy over the middle that you'd use as an athletic tight end who'd win battles with small CBs and linebackers. We don't throw downfield anyway so why try to force home runs. Fans need to get their fantasy football wishes out of their heads when it comes to this offense.

They cut him to protect Linehan and Garrett.

Besides Jerry, Garrett was the last one to get on board with cutting Dez from reports I have read. Stephen and Linehan led the way.

It’s kind of believable. I’m not trying to defend Garrett but I’m sure Garrett had a lot to do with drafting him and resigning him. Garrett took over in Dez’s rookie season so I’m sure they became close throughout the years.

the cheapest??? The guy basically has the exact same contract as Dez had.

I mean cheapest in terms of draft stock from the Cowboys. You could probably get him for a 5 or 6 because of salary dump for Broncos, Kelvin and Parker might cost a 3.

Since Michael Irving, the FO has been pretty poor at evaluating WR's. Beasley has been pretty good for both Romo and Dak even though he was not a quality draft pick.
Their philosophy obviously has been to sign them outside the draft.

It's still that way.

If we did bring anybody in it wouldn’t be a upgrade over what we have just replacing garbage with more garbage. But I wouldn’t be surprised we have brought back garbage to the dinner table with guys like Bryce butler why the **** not...

Why would anyone take Parker over Cooper? That doesn't make sense to me, but ok. Parker is a good #2. Cooper has shown he can be a good #1. Regardless of compensation, the choice should be pretty clear.

Since Irvin? They have had some solid guys here. Crayton was solid for his status. Dez was solid. Miles Austin was solid. Its when they have traded 1st rounders for receivers is when it has bit them.

Price.

Cooper likely demands a higher pick and is due a bunch next season.

Not my money or my choice. Just what Stephen probably looks at

That's why I said regardless of compensation. There are people in this thread saying they would take Parker over Cooper straight up.

No to Parker. Guy is always hurt. He never plays. When he does he still doesn’t play.
One thing Parker has is wingspan. Jerry's been talking about needing WRs with large catch radius these days...Dak friendly.

People look at Coops drops, concussion, inconsistency and rumored lack of desire for football.

Most of that is just crap talk unless you’re a player or in the locker room
