I have mixed feelings about this possibility, and I'm going to not say which way I'm leaning. BUT...if it comes to fruitiion, it is IMPERATIVE for one of the MODS to have an "official" sticky poll as to each person's support or antipathy over TO becoming a Cowboy...that way no one can claim they "knew" it would be that way and not be called on it if they loved/hated the move.

Good point

This board may suffer a meltdown unlike anything seen in any period in human history if we sign TO

Good idea. Though I think I am pretty much on record as being a Owens Hater. Don't want him, never did, never will.

They could sign Charles Manson, Jim Jones, and Sadam to play for them and I would root for them. I hated Deion, but yet, I danced when he danced, I hated Jimmy Johnson, but I styled my hair after him. You root for the uniform, and put up with who's in it. I would have personally delivered the coke to Irvin or any of them if it helped them win.

Grow up. Move on.

We have no idea what this club will do with regards to Owens. We can hope, one way or another. Each of us can pledge to do whatever if he is brought onboard. There is certain to be a degree of backlash. That will likely be offset by a new wave of fans. It's happened before. Will happen again.

Whether or not T.O. is part of this organization, I have no idea.

For me it means that I will not buy any Cowboys merchandise, tickets or anything else that goes toward the Cowboys as long as he is on the team. It is probably a meaningless gesture but it will be my stand. I know that they will never notice the loss of the patronage of one fan but if I am not the only one to feel that way they may notice a drop off in revenue while he is around.

Incorrect, their " loss " in revenue will be overcome by new fans and TO fans. Its all about performance and marketing. TO in Dallas makes sense in both ways, on the field and in sales. Parcells wont take the crap from him so im all for it.

Keyshawn never did ANYTHNG to even come close to matching the off the field issues of TO

Let me see.

1. He refered to himself as a star and stated that Wayne Chreebet was a flashllight. = Jeff Garcia
2. He had multiple arguments with Jon Gruden and was deactivated for conduct detrimental to the team for an entire year. = McNabb and last year's fiasco.

Nah, Keyshawn isn't as bad as Owens.;)

T.O.'s only real problem has been off the field distractions. However, what high profile athlete with his type of personality hasn't? Michael Irvin has. Deion Sanders had. But, it seems to me that T.O.'s problems lay only with fiscal reasons (I think he should get whatever he deserves, which he really hasn't, for on the field activities), and winning. It seems to me that the problems he has with the latter has to do not with an inability to get along with all of his teammates (of which, many, many will vouch for him) while in the process of losing or winning, but with a discrepancy of heirarchy and how blame is spread around when the team fails to win.

I wouldn't mind T.O. because 1) He's a phenom as a player - works hard on and off the field 2) BP is in charge 3) he's a good friend of Michael Irvin (which I think has more significant ramifications than most people think).

I don't really care if he stood on the star one, three, five, or whatever years ago. The best way to stop a player is to shut him down, and if he was shut down, he wouldn't have done such a thing.

Cowboys' fans should be more disgraced by the play of their team that day, which was absolutely pathetic, than what T.O. did.

Lets see, Take a chance that BP can control TO (which I think he can,he's alot better coach than TO's previous ones )
And have two WR which will almost guarantee aplayoff birth (IMO)What a weapon.
or

Let him go and have a really good chance of not make the playoffs again.

The hell with the controversy ,I'm sick of being laughed at.

Good stuff, sir. The last statement is absolute gospel, IMO.

Ya know, footballs not the be all/end all. We can live without football if we have to . Theres family, trips to the park, the mall, the movies. so many things to do other then sit here and watch what you hate. TO. I mean, is it that hard to understand that a few of us really have a problem with TO. Just cause we wont sell our future for the hope he acts good, were stupid, morons and *******s? When we get him and he destroys the team, what are your comments gunna be. Know what mine will be.

Told ya so..........

And believe me, I will be back and I will piss off the TO lovers so bad, I will probably get a ban. But you know what, you pple want this freak to destroy the boys. I used the analogy before of bringing in a lit stick of dynamite and not expecting it to explode. Thats what your doing. I will be front and center and in your face when he rips this team apart. You better not cry foul then. If your gunna be the man enough and decide Parcells can handle him, we have nothing to lose cause he will want to re-prove himself. Just remember this post. Save it and re-read it when you hear Parcells has suspended TO, Williams says hes not resigning with the POS cowboys. JJ cant wait to bolt to Chicago and join his brother there, and get away from the bull**** that is the Dallas Cowboys. Call me what you will. But remember this post.

Course, hopefully this will be bluster when we dont sign TO. But if we do. I will come back here and say my farewells till TOs gone. And depending on how TO leaves, I might ccome back and ease into the crowd. I might ccome in with a gusto and blow some pple away and like I say, get banned in the process. Know the Cowboys are near and dear to my heart, as much a part of my life as my family and friends and music are. But if TO is a Cowboy, I will drop them like a hot rock. Till TOs gone.

WOW!!!!!!!!!! I like the boys alot also but their not as imp. as my Family or friends .But If someone in my family tried to do something to help the family with the chance of possibly hurting someone's feelings, I think I would support the effort and stand by them no matter what. Hell it's part of my family. I won't throw them under the bus for something I disagreed with if they were trying to help in the long run.

JMO you understand.
