NO, he DOESN'T have to be a Cowboy!

Somebody either sign the punk or don't sign him for the entire season....either way, as long as it isn't the Cowboys, I'll be happy....THEN the talk on this board about T.O. can end!

Anybody want to come to the tattoo parlor and get "sign T.O" tattoos with me?

lol, i've read about it so much for MONTHS now, its already imprinted in my mind, might as well have one to match on my arm.

btw: im all for it, and i hope it happens soon so i can stop seeing sign t.o threads
If I had anything about Owens tattooed on me it would be his face on my butt so he could kiss my ***.

BTW can't we merge this into the other thread about the idiot.

You know better than that.
As fans people always look back in hindsight and say, coulda, woulda, shoulda.

I dont know if cap hell exists. But I am certain that Terrell Owens hell, does indeed exist.

Thats what I am saying, unless we sign TO, and maybe Vinteria kicker from Pats, along with McGinnest lb/de you can forget the season this year.

With offensive weapons stinking Commanders have now with Brandon Lloyd, Randel El with Moss, impossible to stop. To back that statement up, remember how they stomped us 2nd game in DC. Then, you add in Giants with signing Sam Madison to cover, he is just as good as Aaron Glenn, along with Arrington, their defense will be tough to score on now. And what do we do, go out and sign a backup LB, no impact guy on defense. I guarantee if we dont get a good kicker, safety, TO, you can forget the season.

I find hypocrisy amusing. I won't defend Owens. He's a self absorbed jerk. No doubt about it. But is calling out your QB any worse than being caught with drugs and hookers right after the SB? How many wanted us to trade for Ray Lewis, a guy who was either directly or indirectly involved in a murder? Is calling out your HC like KJ did in Tampa a bunch better than what Owens did other than having less press coverage? Is spiking the ball on the star so much worse than some of the ******** TD celebrations other WR's have done? Who wouldn't take Chad Johnson here? And the drama queens that are going to burn their Cowboys stuff or never watch a game until he's gone- we so admire your convictions but there's really no need to announce your departure in advance 100 times- just go away. The Cowboys will manage to survive without you.

If BP thinks he wants to take a shot with Owens it's his call to make and I support him. If he wants to run away at full speed that's fine by me too- again his call. Either way I'll watch the games and I won't be sticking pins in Owens voo doo dolls. End of rant.

I really do think it's all about experience and perspective.

I'd be willing to bet that if we held a poll for those who have been watching this team for 15 years or more vs those watching 15 or less, the more experienced fans would be far more against the signing of TO than the less experienced fans.

Neither is right or wrong. It's all a matter of perspective.
I am willing to bet you are right Juke.

T.O. is bad for any team that he is on....this is precisely the reason that I do NOT want him on the Cowboys.

Is anyone gonna wish that we signed him... I know I want him now and would regret if he went elsewhere....

Yeah yeah. Another T.O.(merging them into one doesnt make that much sense) alot of different topics on him - IT IS a COWBOYS story... as long as he may end up here...

wahh wahhhh he disgraced the star!

GIVE IT A FREAKING REST!!!

He can pull down his pants and dump on the star, then smear it in with his boots if that brings us a Superbowl.

*shrug* I'm a fan since the 70's.

I honestly believe we'll get a 1-2 year grace period where TO will be on his best behavior to get one more payday. I wouldn't mind if we are the beneficiary of that grace period, especially with Bill in charge.

THe guy plays hard on the field and he is a difference maker. As I said on another thread, I held my nose and watched Deion wear the star, whom I despised every bit as much as TO, I can do it again.

Like I stated earlier...it's a matter of perspective.

Your comment, basically stating that anything is ok so long as it brings us a super bowl is simply not one I agree with.

Having been a fan prior to free agency, it's still tough getting used to hated rivals being on one's favorite team and all of sudden rooting for them because they are now wearing the same uniform.

I root for players, not laundry.

I'd be willing to make you a nickel bet that you were one of those cheering Roy Williams for "horse collaring" TO and ending his season...yet now, it's OK to root for TO.

My brain simply doesn't function that way.

Oh, I don't doubt that he'd be on best behavior. He has no choice, unless he wants his career to end.

Sanders. I agree. It was difficult to root for the guy.

But his antics were never anti Cowboy...and he was never the disruptive force and jerk that TO has been..AND if you read comments that team mates spoke of Sanders, they ALL loved him as a team mate...certainly the same can't be said for Owens.

It would be difficult to root for Chad Johnson...it's difficult to root for any jerk.

But Owens is in a special class because of his anti Cowboy garbage.

Yes, I loved when Roy horse collared him, but that was when he was an Eagle. I can easily forget about everything he's done if he brings us a Superbowl, because that is the ultimate goal.

You can have all the blind pride you want, you can "Defend the star" all you want, but at the end of the day it's about getting that ring, and Owens can bring that.

TO has a ring ?

Damn, I must have missed that.

He isnt married.
He isnt a mason.
He isnt a SB Champion.
Guess its that NFC Champion ring that he earned while cheerleading, jumping up and down on the bench.

If the Eagles keep swinging and missing in free agency... I won't be too surprised if they pay TO his bonus and try to move him in a trade before the year starts. They have to use their cap for something.
