I agree..

..no offense to Romo..

..but this really changes so much.
If Romo has a disk problem..that's going to require.surgery..

..this has enormous implications.

I can't see this team being able to wait on him and pay his salary while we have to rebuild now.

Like with Peyton Manning and his neck injuries causing him to be released from the Colts.

I think this ends the Romo era for all intents and purposes.

Look..the same thing happened to Troy in the end.

The injuries and concussions piled up and that was it.

Same thing here.

By the time Romo recovers..he'll be 34\35 years old.

Career over.

Not really, if he has surgey he's ready for OTA's.

It will save his job which makes me want to puke but why should this game change anything? We are in this spot a lot due to Garrett. The Detrot and Green Bay losses were a lot on him and how he managed the game. Win those 2 and these don't mean much.

I was in the camp even if we made the playoffs, he needs to be fired. I would have fired him after the Green Bay game. How can Jerry just pretend these games did not happen under his watch:

2011:
Jets
Giants
Lions
Cardinals

2012:
Ravens

2013:
Lions
Packers

That is just way too much evidence he has no business being a head coach.

We are about to be 0-3 in the final game of the season. But because Romo won't play this erases all that?

Agree but it is more than that. He has absolutely zero sense of situational football or how to manage the clock. You would think after being around the game his entire life and being a head coach for over 3 years, he would have at least a little understanding of these things but he is just as bad now(if not worse). I had hoped it would help when he gave up calling plays, that maybe he was distracted, but no he was just as bad this year which tells me he is just not head coach material.

I have said this more than 50 times ...because Garrett has made more than 50 clock mistakes. Did I say 50? I meant 500

no I don't. I just don't see it the exact same as you. I'm off the Garrett wagon also win lose or draw. Just can't root against. "Can't"

ps: your choices just suck! Get me Urban Cowboy, all the way from Ohio State...or "I'm Man...I'm 40" from Okla Cowboys

Urban Meyer is a great pick

Jerry will do whatever he's inclined to do. Injuries didn't save Ryan and they won't save Garrett if that's the direction Jerry has been leaning. Not sure it has been, but we have heard several reports that JG was in a reach the post-season or else state.

That's why, even though I hate to say it, I was wishes Washington had won...Now there is another mid level draft choice, another .500 year, and another year of Red...so YES, this team in cursed.

In hindsight...........yes, it probably would have been better for the Skins to win if we knew Romo was done for the season and Garrett would scapegoat the injury to cover for his blunders.

garrett is "in the family portrait" and jerry picked him to be the 'next landry'

firing him would be admitting that he is a football idiot so he will look for any sliver of excuse to excuse garretts horrible coaching and this is the perfect excuse

I don't care about injuries, etc. Garrett's teams have been ill prepared for years and his offense is a mess. He's made more mistake by himself then I can even count.

He needs to be fired. No excuses for him. Anybody with a set of eyes can see this team is dysfunctional, specifically the offense with him running it.

If the Cowboys get blown out tomorrow night, I think the fan base is going to want Jerry to get rid of someone. I think it will be Kiffin and Callahan, not Garrett. I'm not saying that Garrett doesn't deserve it.

Garrett should be fired if the team plane loses control, because the pilot passed out, and Garrett happens to guide the plane to a landing saving everybody on board.

On the other hand, if Garrett were to win the final game and make the playoffs, he would've earned another season, in my opinion. Good coaches rise above, and beating the Eagles tomorrow would be the first evidence of Garrett rising above.
