You know? As much as I like Dak, I am curious as to what QBs will be available as FAs with the cap being the way that it will be. I still want us to focus on defence in the draft. With that said, there's also bound to be a QB that is good who ends up being an FA. I wonder if that's why Jerry hasn't really done anything with Dak yet? I wonder when the cap number is announced and who all gets released.

There is a reset taking place in the NFL, franchise QBs.
Jerry has made his share of mistakes, but this is not just a "Cowboys" issue,, its a league wide issue and why you are seeing QBs like Goff being moved.

Oh, no doubt, and I'd love for us to keep Dak, but we have a problem on our hands as a result, and because Jerry was too slow.

There just comes a point in time when too many prior mistakes are now road blocks from taking care of a contract that should have been done before a failed LB and RB.
Priority.
Maybe its a blessing in disguise.

Possibly, but that's just the issue. Jerry, thinking this is still the 90s, prioritised RB over QB.
