Those were not "Average" QBs, even at the twilight of Montana's years,

Bernie's best (electric) years were with Marty.

His last year with Rivers they won 14 games en route to a quick playoff exit by the Pats.

These were not Cooper Rushes that Marty was working with.

Outside Trent Dilfer no one could duplicate Rush. Again the whole of Marty's Career he never had that QB, during a tenure, Kosar was close, but Brees was gone because of they way they handled his shoulder, and he only had Rivers as starter for 1 year before he left SD. Montana was serviceable his last 2 years nothing more. Him going to KC was hope he could catch lightning in a bottle he was not horrible but he was not Joe "Cool" Montana anymore that defenses feared. Marty had better RBs than QBs

Marty ball thread title=FAIL.. did Marty get hired, im confused. This is MM offense to call , the other Schott isnt his father and wont be the coach in control of the offense so why the hubbub? oh more dramas for sky is falling types. got it..

Here's the problem with this philosophy. defenses don't play like they used to, they put everybody up and force you to pass, if you can't pass you ain't gonna run.
