Outside Trent Dilfer no one could duplicate Rush. Again the whole of Marty's Career he never had that QB, during a tenure, Kosar was close, but Brees was gone because of they way they handled his shoulder, and he only had Rivers as starter for 1 year before he left SD. Montana was serviceable his last 2 years nothing more. Him going to KC was hope he could catch lightning in a bottle he was not horrible but he was not Joe "Cool" Montana anymore that defenses feared. Marty had better RBs than QBsThose were not "Average" QBs, even at the twilight of Montana's years,
Bernie's best (electric) years were with Marty.
His last year with Rivers they won 14 games en route to a quick playoff exit by the Pats.
These were not Cooper Rushes that Marty was working with.
