Cowboys may target McFadden

and this coming from the guy with Mcfadden in his Sig.

What does that matter? you said "only one good season" 1113 yards rushing with 11 TD's as a freshman I believe is considered a good season. You said you wanted to see more of him but there are a lot of players who never start until their Senior years and get picked high. he's only played two seasons and has over 2600 yards with 26 rushing TDs and has passed for 3 more, that's not too bad my friend.

What if Cleveland goes 13-3 and on to the AFC Championship game. Talk about future tense.

What are YOU going to be doing on April 26, 2008... watching the NFL draft of course.

Then we'll trade their 30th pick, our 32nd pick, our 64th pick, and our 2009 first round pick to move up and get McFadden. Problem Solved.

:D

Yea thats exactly what i said right?

Or maybe i said let's see what he does this year.

I wonder which one i said?

For someone who multiple times have expressed dissatisfaction about McFadden threads being posted at this time of the year, and telling many of us we should stop or should not post this stuff, you sure do seem to be posting in them a lot.

Actually if you consider that our 2009 first round pick will be at #32 as well (a pretty reasonable assumption :D ), then we'll be getting an absolute steal. According to the draft value chart, the 2008 #1 pick is worth 3000 points while the combination of #30, #32, #64, & 2009's #32 is only worth 2070 points. Now we just have to hope that the team in the #1 slot is stupid enough to make that deal. Come on Commanders.

:D

How many times have you seen McFadden play?

Enough, and I've watched all of his highlight reels for the games that I missed. His highlight reels show him fall down after the first touch. Lets not draft the next Julius Jones please.

You and I must have been watching two different Running Backs then because I watched McFadden single-handedly destroy Auburn, South Carolina, Tennessee, and LSU this past year, while getting a crapload of his yards and even breaking many long runs well after first contact.

I guess I was watching the same ones as you then. It was you, me, and every sportswriter in America watching those games and nyc was off somehwere else watching his "clips" and "highlights".

so one good year in college proves he's a franchise back?

but if JJ has a good year in the NFL he's not a franchise back?

How does that correlate?
How many "good years" did Peterson have? Yet, he still is considered a franchise-back. I would like to see McFadden surpass his production from last season and I think that he will. That's why I consider him a franchise-back and if we're in the position to do so, should take him.....

Julius might put up a decent year this season. But he's an injury prone RB who hasn't shown up his first three years in the NFL. Showing up in a contract doesnt really inspire confidence. No matter what Julius does, he will never be the talent that Darren McFadden is. You don't pass on a guy like that if you get the chance.

:jerk: no he isn't

ok, then....he's a RB whose career has thus far been plagued by injuries and woefully inconsistent play. How's that?

if we are able to draft McFadden, he would be the best RB to come out of the draft since Ladainian Tomlinson and is someone who you simply cannot pass up IMO..Julius is a good back but i don't believe he'll ever be great
