We've changed DC's, DT's and fellow LBs yet still suck in run defense, and he's been the one constant.

Is he the best we have this year? Perhaps, but I don't think we'll miss him that much.

That said, we need to load up on LBs in the offseason.

People felt that way about Anthony Brown too. LVE started playing better the second half of last year and he's been pretty solid most of this year. While I wouldn't argue an upgrade, the drop-off might be bigger than you think. It sure was at CB2, for a lot of zoners.

Naw let's not do this. LVE has had a better than expected season but you don't "miss" him. This team takes the next man up approach and this is one of the rare times they didn't step up. But I'm not using LVE not out there as an excuse. That's the Garrett era.

I've never been down on either player like some have, but I am surprised that we seem to need them both as much as we do. Their shoes weren't supposed to be this hard to fill, especially with the depth we thought we had at their positions.

I believe that said it was a shoulder stinger. He is out for next week but should be back this year.

The fact he's even starting is unforgivable. And that his replacements are so much worse is incomprehensible. This team made some massive mistakes in the roster on the defensive side, not signing Suh or Joseph at DT being the worst of them. I noticed we slipped down to 8th in the defensive rankings. Will be interesting to see if we finish top 10 when the year is done.

You see how many yards the Eagles gave up in rushing? Not gonna say it’s all on the interior but Cowboys not stopping the run isn’t just on the interior. I’m starting to think it may also be a scheme issue. But personnel for sure. I don’t know it seemed like they were getting better but a LVE departure shouldn’t be the end all.
