That team was flawed in so many ways.
What team didn’t have flaws last season? KC had all kinds of issues at WR. The flaws with the Cowboys are they’re not mentally tough and they’re undisciplined. We had a few very impressive games last season where we looked unbeatable but we were awful in most of our big games. A lot of the problems with the Cowboys are mental. We’ve had plenty of talent we just can’t seem to put it together in the games that really matter. As soon as we get hit with a good punch, we fold. It doesn’t take much for the Cowboys to lose their confidence and quit.

Looking unbeatable against crappy teams means nothing.

McCarthy has won 70% of his games over the last three seasons. The Cowboys would literally have to flatline for McCarthy to lose his job. Even if the Cowboys have a losing season, McCarthy will be the last one to blame.

I can see 10 wins easily, particularly if this defense plays to it's potential. This season, the secret ingredient is Zimmer. I don't think he ever had a defense with this much potential. There is a lot he can do with two All Pro CB's and an All-Pro EDGE, add in another Pro Bowl EDGE.

Even blowing out crappy teams isn’t easy in the NFL. We lost convincingly to a crappy team in week three, because we got full of ourselves after our first two wins and decided not to show up. That’s been one of the flaws with the Cowboys. The talent has been there, but there’s been underlying problems with coaching and lack of motivation/discipline.

Who exactly are they making excuses to?

Between the victimhood and the entitlement I like it. Another great litmus test.
