Quincy Carter
Mo Claiborne
Bobby Carpenter
Rafael Septien
Craig Morton (not that he wasn't good, without him maybe Landry moves on with Staubach much sooner, maybe an extra SB win? Complete hypo)

I was around he was to be more of complementary back. His highest total of carries in season was 99 he avg over 4 ypc but his he was used more as a receiver. He already was on the decline when he got here. 3 season removed from a 1500 yard season. He got about 5 carries per game and 2 catches per game. He was never brought in to be Emmitt's replacement just a reliable guy that could spell him.

Cowboys Mount Rushmore has true Dallas Cowboys included in the Ring Of Honor and/or enshrined in the Pro Football Hall Of Fame. In my opinion, the Cowboys Mount Flushmore should include true Dallas Cowboys also. For that reason, I cannot include Terrell Owens as much as I would want to. And I want to. I really really really really really really really really want to.

Anyhoo, my Cowboys Mount Flushmore:
  • Shante Carver
  • Billy Cannon Jr.
  • Quincy Carter
  • Bobby Carpenter
Honorable Mention: Jacques Reeves

Funny, here's a quick stats comparison of two players best year

Shante Carver 1997 - Combined Tackles (40) _ Sacks (6)
Jeremy Mincey 2014 - Combined Tackles (36) _ Sacks (6)

Some want to make Mincey out as a savior, but yet Carver is a scrub. Don't get me wrong, I do think Carver was a scrub. And if the shoe fits...

Mincey is a stop gap player. He's serviceable (sp?) for the time being.

Main difference is that Mincey was a 6th round pick by NE and is a serviceable journeyman and Carver was a #1 pick by the Cowboys to come in and replace Haley. Ironically, the following year, Dallas selected Kavika PIttman to push Carver-----another potential member of Mount Flushmore.

This thread is depressing me.

Troy Hambrick emphasizes everything that comes to mind when I read this thread

Agree he was the first player that came to mind for me too.

T. Hambrick
Ryan Leaf
Bobby Carpenter
Dwayne Goodrich

No idea why Deion Sanders is on this list. Yes, he's a greedy, self-absorbed narcissist. At the same time, he was a great player for us, and we don't win SB 30 without him.

My four would be

Phil Pozderac
Crawford Kerr
(I threw more things watching those two revolving doors try to block someone)
Quincy Carter
Dwayne Goodrich

Defiantly Roy Williams....

The amount of zilch he provided this team for the things we gave up for him really made me scratch my head when the trade was consummated to when he was finally gone..

Bill Thomas - 1972 First Round pick never played an offensive snap for the Cowboys.
Rod Hill - 1982 First Round pick contributed heavily to the NFC Championship Game defeat to the Commanders with a muffed kick return. Poster child of the horrible Gil Brandt led drafts post 1977.
Sonny Gibbs - Top pick in 1962, Gibbs never threw a pass for the Cowboys, and was cut two years into a three year, no cut contract.
Dave Campo - The symbol of the large and in charge Jerry Jones Cowboys. When he got pantsed in practice by the secondary in 2008, it spoke volumes.

best post in this thread.....btw, I would replace Campo with Bobby Carpenter, who was yet another 1st round bust............Campo was doomed to fail with an aging roster, poor QB play, and tons of dead money.

If he can't turn things around, Mo has a spot waiting for him on the Mountain of Mediocrity

I'm in the minority here, but I actually liked Quincy Carter...

However...

Roy Williams (WR), Bobby Carpenter, Brad Johnson, Antonio Bryant
