Schottenheimer just isn't a difference maker at head coach. We have seen enough. He is basically learning on the job, but these Cowboys need a proven difference maker at head coach right now.

Should Jerry go find a difference making coach right now to try to save this season?

It is more of a wish than a question, regardless how the team performs from this point forward. Jerry Jones and history go hand-in-hand.

He may wait-and-see if Brian Schottenheimer loses the roster a la Wade Phillips and the 2010 season after eight games were played. The thread question's answer would be which coordinator would Jones name as interim head coach? Klayton Adams? Or Christian Parker?

The latter's case is not being made with how the defense has been underperforming. Adams might own the inside track as Schottenheimer's replacement by default.

Jones going headhunting for an in-season outside-the-team head coaching replacement? Jerry Jones? Jerral Wayne Jones Sr.? The 'Are you kidding me? Where's the SUN? Where's the MOON?' Jerry Jones? ha. yeah right. Mad Genius would publicly concede he was wrong about Schottenheimer. I rate that possibility at 2%.

Schotty never should have been hired in the first place. We are the Dallas Cowboys and we go to the cheap bin to find coaches.
