Cowboys really need Demarcus Lawrence to show up in the next 4 games.

I'm not down on him yet, especially without the help of Hardy for the first four games, or the offense in the last 3 games.

He hasn't delivered yet, but I think the combination or elements will now allow him to deliver. He is never going to see another double team as long as Hardy and Gregory are present and healthy. The question of how to stop Hardy, Gregory, Crawford, and Lawrence will be an interesting one for opposing offenses. Three of the four probably require a double team the majority of the time.

I see in Lawrence a lot of what I see in Williams. He isn't a top pass rusher, at least not yet, but with consistent single coverage against right tackles, he should begin to show up.

He should do some stuff this week against the Giants. Newhouse is gawd awful. There's a very small chance that Beatty will return in time for our game, and although he'd be an upgrade over Newhouse, I don't think he's ever played RT before.

There's very few pass rushers that get through double coverage. J.J. Watt hasn't had a sack in 3 weeks due to double coverage, so not sure why anyone thinks Lawrence is capable of doing more than Watt.

I was impressed with both Crawford and Lawrence and the hurries they created in the Patriots and Falcons games.

I see Hardy playing over there more in passing downs. Randy on the right. He just hasn't produced. Pretty are he has 1 sack in 5 games. Pressures aren't sacks. They're good but not great.

Debatable, hurries can be just as productive as a sack. Both are extremely disruptive, to write one off because of the other is due to the love for popular stat sheets.

Same as the ridiculous post of people saying Crawford was a ghost in the Saints game, but he had 6 hurries.

Dig a little deeper into stats, it helps to be informed.

The only reason he hasn't done much is because our entire defense was gassed by the 2nd quarter. Tell me who gave Demarcus a break ? He was out there running on fumes. Our whole defense has been. Now with Mincey back, Hardy and Gregory we have more rotations and keep our guys fresh.

man i wish i was watching the same games as you guys have been cause ive been happy with how Tank has played. the only person on the line how has been consistent both in the run and pass. does he have the sacks you want, not yet but he had almost no help for so long. now that the d is in full force lets see what happens. i bet you see a lot more numbers from him.

This looks like a misguided threat topic. Lawrence has played well for the most part this whole season, especially under the less than ideal circumstances. At one point, he was basically out there by himself! No Mincey, no Hardy, no Gregory!

I think his effort level is outstanding and his productivity arrow is pointing up. Now that the defensive line is fully loaded, I only expect his numbers to go up.

I think there are bigger things to be concerned about than Demarcus Lawrence.

DLaw will be fine. Was bit disappointed at first he didn't make a bigger impact. But under the circumstances, understandable. Even when Ware was here, he couldn't do it all by himself either.
But with all on board now, I expect sacks, pressure and hurries, and even batted passes to go up, from a team standpoint, not necessarily individual stats. I don't care who gets there, even if someone different on every play. Just knock the QB on his arse, get them rattled from the start.

Hit Eli early and hard, and have Wilcox do the same, again, to Beckham. That will make both of them think before the throw or catch.
Then the same against Seattle and Philly.....

As Parcells would say "let's give him to year 3"

I was really expecting this guy to jump to a superstar level of play this year.

It's surprising he's been just ok.

Hate to say it, but I think he ends up being solid to good. Gregory looks like a rockstar IMO.

Lawrence has been really good in the past 2 games and not terrible in the ones before that.

The LDE is never going to get as much pressure as the RDE in this defense.

I dont expect a lot of sacks this game for the Cowboys. I do expect a lot of three step drops and getting rid of the ball quickly by Eli to neutralize the rush.
