Don't be shocked if Dunbar is top priority as far as signings are concerned.

you actually hope the one CB who sees the field leaves? im stunned by this and to many, i say some stunning things.

Is he the only corner who has played 16 games this year and last year? Maybe the only one in the entire secondary?

  • Todd Archer of ESPN mentions that the Cowboys’ coaching staff are much higher on WR Terrance Williams than many outside the organization would expect. Archer adds that issue for the Cowboys in terms of keeping Williams will be his asking price, as he’ll likely be able to get a better offer from another team.
  • Archer expects CB Morris Claiborne to be looking at another one-year deal as a free agent, considering that he’s yet to play a full season in the NFL. Although, Claiborne’s injury history could help his odds of being back in Dallas next year, writes Archer.
  • If the Cowboys lose G Ronald Leary in free agency, which many anticipate, Archer says that the Cowboys could try to re-sign G Jonathan Cooper, given that he’s capable of playing both guard and center.
  • Should Terrance Williams sign elsewhere, the Cowboys could turn their attention to keeping WR Brice Butler.
  • Archer says that Lance Dunbar‘s future with the Cowboys will likely come down to whether they re-sign Darren McFadden.
  • The same can be said of S J.J. Wilcox and S Barry Church.
  • Archer wouldn’t be surprised if veteran LB Justin Durant contemplated retirement this offseason.
Well..

for once I would like to see us not sitback and try to not fix problem areas.

WR is a problem is that we don't have anybody who stretches the defense.

Dez has lost a step with all his injuries and the rest scares nobody.

Witten and the TEs need help, too.

So while defence maybe a draft answer..

finishing the offense to be DAK Friendly is majorly important, too.

Our schedule is much more difficult in 2017.

We need more help to score more points.

What the heck does Dunbar have on Jerry?

Speed up the ying yang, some elusiveness, quicks, modest ability to run the ball even between tackles and break arm tackles, the best receiver of all the backs. What doesn't he have......the ability to stay on the field enough. The latter may be his end here.

I do look forward to see how Andy Jones has progressed after a year on the PS.
He was pushing seriously for a roster spot last TC but kind of faded.

I got the impression, from reading about Jones, that his problems are more about stage fright than anything else. You have to admit that Dallas is a pretty big stage. If they can just get him to settle down he'll be okay.....

I'd like to see Williams back but it will cost Dallas one of the safeties or T. McClain.

The only vet over 30 I want back is Church. Dallas has to get younger on defense, especially at safety and CB.

I'm not really a fan of paying Church a lot of money to stay. He is serviceable at best. I think all this coach on the field stuf is great, but only if they can ALSO play football at a high level. Sean Lee falls into the latter class.

Twill is an interesting player. I really thought he wasn't a problem type of player, and a good locker room guy, but the recent comments about he was glad that Dak isn't a moody player really was an eye opener. That is obviously some sort of shot at Romo.

Either Williams isn't as go with the flow as he appears, or Romo is a much bigger diva than people think he is. I'm not really sure what to make of that.

Tony's a big fan of is, too. If he leaves, it's likely to the team we trade Romo to.

I thought that as well until Williams pretty much Calle him "moody" last week.

I think he would prefer to stay in Dallas with Dak than follow Romo..unless the team that has Romo is going to pay him a chunk which is highly doubtful. The team that lands Romo will likely be a good team that has good players already in place and likely tight on cap space after signing Romo.
