• 45 rushes for 243 yards, 5.4 yds per carry
• long runs of 12, 13, 20, and 29 - by 4 different players6
• RB by committee, led by QB Fields - 14 carries for 82 yds
• time of possession nearly one whole quarter more - 37:14 to 22:46
• Bears offense had 70 plays to Patriots' 48

A quick lead is the key , if we get up by 7 or 10 points , then we can load the box and spy Fields.

we should be worried about our Offense, their D is still good .If we cant run the ball well we are looking at another close game.

Exactly! Dak is the Cowboys savior according to the way he acts.

Good lord you people are weird. "The way he acts". We get it. You hate Dak and hope he fails. This thread was about the Bears run game and of course, it turns to Dak right away. Obsession isn't healthy.

This defense is extremely soft up the middle, especially against the run and LB play is very weak. That will be an issue going forward and already was in our 2 losses. Tampa and Eagles ran with ease against this defense.

Dallas should focus on a run stopping defensive lineup to open the game. I don't know if the 1985 Bears defense, the 46 defense would be useful here, but it would be nice to defeat them with their own historical medicine. I'd like to see Parsons as MLB for most of the first half, to help shut down all running lanes. LVE needs to close any running lanes, without second guessing himself. Barr, Parsons and LVE should be on the field at the same time for most of the first half.

Once the Bears go to pass mode, then Dallas can open up the pass rush!

One game. It wont matter. Not worried about the Bears. Fields sucks.

Packers had the 31st ranked pass defense.
Zeke and the offensive line carried Dak in that Seattle game. Zeke had 140+ all purpose yards.
Dak was choking and had a couple 3 and outs before he finally RAN for a first down. That was like his claim to fame play and really he didn't trust his arm just like at the end 49ers playoff loss. What about the win and your in the playoffs vs Wentz and WRs off the street. What choke job.
Did well on that opening drive against the Rams but those were scripted plays. When asked to read the defense the team kept going 3 and out and to make matters worse the defense was struggling to stop the run and the offense wasn't helping. Dak was exposed by Denver in 2017 and what the heck happened last year Denver again. It's one thing to lose or just get beat by another team but the way Dak performs in these losses is awful. There is no reason for Dallas to look so poor against Tampa when they have had all summer to prepare. You keeping talking narrative but the only narrative is to see the Cowboys win a SB. And this clown QB isn't getting It done.
You know damn well Dak had a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder and a fractured index finger in his throwing hand against the Eagles, yet you deceitfully don't mention that since it doesn't fit your Dak-hating agenda.

You see this is exactly an example of why this board is so infected. This thread began without a mention of the qb but this is what happens regularly
Not enough Dak threads for you?

Isnt there a rule against troll a thread like that?

Until they stop it, the Cowboys are going to see teams run at them. It would not surprise me to see the Bears come out on their first possession and run every down. It is another game where the Cowboys can defend against this by scoring early and often and force the Bears to throw the ball.

I see that. We need to step up. Get some stops early and make them have to pass. Get to him and make them turn it over. We put up points and make them one dimensional..

What about points given up each week? The D gives up those rushing yards, but keeps teams out of the end zone as well, or hold to FG's.
Not sure what the Bears do, but if their D is 7th then they too must do a decent job.
But yeah, this will not be as easy as many believe. I think the Bears are better than their record indicates.

week 1 vs. TB: 152 yards 19 points
week 2 vs. CINN: 89 yards 17 points
week 3 vs. NYG: 167 yards 16 points
week 4 vs. Wash: 142 yards 10 points
week 5 vs. LAR: 38 yards 10 points
week 6 vs. Philly: 136 yards 26 points
week 7 vs. DET: 117 yards 6 points

Given that game one was just that game one. But can't use that as an excuse.
Eagles had 4 short fields and got 20 points. Not bad against a good offense.
Defense can't hold good offenses down forever, so gave up that late drive for a TD.
I still don't like those rushing yard totals / averages. Need to clean that up. Bears could be a challenge.

He didn't talk about Dak at all, that I saw. kskboys is no troll.
I wasnt referring to him ksboys just butted into a conversation that wasnt meant for him. I was talking to hadenough who qouted my post. He sided with him and therefore I explained my stance.if you think its ok for a thread about the chicago bear running game to get 2 posts in and start with the dak BS i think its trolling.

Theres too much of that that goes on we got enough dak threads

Sounds like a BS excuse because the week before and week after the offense scores 40+ points. He's a choker!

Excellent. If Da Bears run thru the Dallas run defense so be it..it'll only force DQ to make the proper adjustments to fix it instead of just getting along.
