Cowboys | No word on T. Johnson's suspension
Tue, 16 Oct 2007 14:36:40 -0700

Clarence E. Hill Jr., of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has not made a decision on whether the suspension of Dallas Cowboys DT Tank Johnson will be reduced from eight games to six, according to the league office.

of course it wont get reduced.........but if he played for the Pats, he would probably be playing by now, cause Belicheat is the PuppetMaster that pulls Pinocchio's (Goodell's strings)

aint that the truth.

Goodell: MAKE A FREAKING DECISION! we all could guess what it will be but atleast make a decision so the team can know what to expect...stringing them along like this is just wrong! I do not like Goodell...

I swear people act like it some slam on the Cowboys that he hasn't had his suspension reduced yet.

Not like he got arrested during the suspension. Thrown out? Yes. Still that was a ton of bad press for the league and it is pretty clear that generating bad press for the league is going to bring the hammer.

Since it wasn't made today, I doubt his suspension will be reduced. Goodell is like that.

UPDATE TAKEN FROM ANOTHER FORUM: Well just watch J. Clayton on ESPN and he reported that he doesn't see Tank coming back until after the full suspension is served. Take it for what it's worth but appearently he feels that Tank was givin a break for being allowed to practice an train at the Cowboys facility for the past 2 weeks.

Cut Goodell some slack. Stanley's voices report G's got a firm deadline on grouting a bathroom for a Mr. Robert Kraft.

YET ANOTHER UPDATE FROM ANOTHER FORUM: Probably won't hear anything till probably Thursday.

It wont matter in all honesty...if he is reinstated this week...he wont play against the Vikings. He will take this game and the bye week to get ready for playing up in good ol' Philly after the bye week.

I attended a online chat with Todd Archer of the Morning News and I asked him that question regarding Tank and he believes that Tank may not get his suspension reduced to 6 games. He believes he will get reduced to only 7 games...not 6...which would have him on the practice field in the bye week.

There is no rush in getting him game ready.

"Ruling expected soon on Tank: Things remain quiet on NT Tank Johnson's appeal to have his eight-game suspension reduced. Johnson's eligible to have it cut to six games, which would make him eligible to play Sunday against Minnesota.

The Cowboys will probably be granted a roster exemption, allowing Johnson to practice – but not play – in the short-term without another player being cut. NFL officials said that a decision is expected later this week."

I'm glad we signed Tank... but let's get real here.

Would anyone here be lobbying for his sentence to be reduced if he wasn't a Cowboy right now? No, of course not.

If anything, we'd be collectively outraged if the sentence was reduced.

I can hear it:

"How come Wade Wilson had to serve his whole suspension and Tank gets off early? It's an anti-Cowboys conspiracy!"
