Until the Cowboys show up better, they don't belong in the top 10...

A year ago at this time people were in an uproar because we weren't in the top 10.

The logic last year was that we were going into our 2nd year with the 3-4 defense so it should be better, and Ware would have a year of NFL experience under his beslt and should be even better, and Bledsoe, while not a star, was an upgrade from Testeverde and we had an improved O-line with the Rivera signing and Flozell being healthy, and TO was now going to be catching TD passes, and ........

This year we are hanging our hat on a newe defensive scheme ..........

Maybe that will make us top a 10 team - maybe even better - but I think the message here is that the assumption of improvement doesn't carry that much weight.

Personally, I think we're top five or six potential. I'd put us around 11 or 12 on this list though...until it translates to the field.

Anyway, did you guys read all of the comments? Pretty interesting. Several guys ranting over the cowboys not being on there...many of them are fans of other teams. Seems that the Cowboys and Broncos are the consensus snubs.

I'd like to read the chat later if someone has access to it...

The problem with the Cowboys this year is going to be continunity. This whole team, coaching staff, new players, is making it impossible to predict what will happen this coming season.

This team is not like some other teams, like the eagles for example (they have the same system in place for years and that is why they contend year after year)...the Cowboys team this season is totally unknown...until a few game in...then these journalists can start ranking teams.

As of now...fugget bout it...!

I don't neccessarily disagree with him, although we do have the potential to be top 10, no doubt.

Frankly, Mosley likely feels the need to work a while on making sure other fans around the country already know what we do: That Matt definately isn't a Cowboy's homer.

Not that I think he is not picking us on purpose... I just think that he's aware that some fans of other teams still think he's a cowboy fan.

I think Mosely is an entertaining and talented writer and apparently espn noticed that as well, but I've never considered him to be a football expert of any sort. There are plenty ppl right here more knowledgebale about the NFL than he demonstrates. None of this means the Cowboys belong in in the best 10 teams, but really, who cares where he ranks any team?

All these opinions and top ten lists...lets go to camp already.

I didn't read the article, I did read here where we are not in the top ten.

Lets see, we picked (originally) at number 22 in the draft this year, 10 slots below the Colts. So we finished around 10th outta 32 teams by final ranking.

We are what we are, 10th until we show we have improved this off-season more than the 9 teams in front of us.

This is where I think him trying to prove he isn't a cowboys homer might come into play.

When there is a team that he feels like is a little better than it showed last season and it could go either way between us and them... he simply gives the nod to the other team.

Nothing that I know, of course... just a hunch.

The Jets clearly had good coaching and some talent that many thought wasn't there. They have a solid QB, which is of course, very important, and they went to the playoffs in a more than solid AFC East.
