Cowboys not even in Top Ten in Mosleys rankings..

Just like last year, we have too many iffs to be top 10. Doesn't mean much in the middle of summer.

New HC, OC and DC with a 10 game starter at QB......that doesn't sound like a top 10 team to me. It could be, but not not the first week in July when they have not proven a thing. We find out for sure Dec. 22nd.

I don't really have a problem with the ranking at this point. The Panthers are perhaps overrated but the analysts continue their love affair with them season after season. We'll see.

We aren't top ten, till we prove it on the field. those teams got it in done in december on the field. We didn't. So we belong right were we are

yea i admit, that panthers pick did stun me, but the point still stands. We folded down the strech, we have a new HC,OC,DC. That doesn't spell top ten to me

I could care less where this or any other so-called expert ranks us in July. All I care about is where we're ranked in late January and early February. Let's put it this way. Talent-wise, we're Top 5 in my opinion. Compare our roster to the other teams and we're Top 5, at least. In reality, that talent and the new coaching staff have to prove it on the field. I'm very confident they will do just that, but we have several months before we know for sure.

Not even the Panthers?

We had a better record than they did last year and beat them by 21 points at their place. Their opponents outscored them by 35 points last season. What did they prove on the field?

I find these rankings frivolous no matter which writer or analyst projects or positions us and other teams. Some are aghast by the Mosley ranking but some fans certainly didn't object when we were over-pegged for the Superbowl two thirds into last season. If the ranking impacted the players on the team or performance on the field I would value it more. A few years of late season fades has turned me into a ranking cynic.
