Dak ended most drives with a TD pass. Shocking when you consider it was a new offense and had no NFL running game.
So more than one half of Cowboys drives end with a Dak TD Pass? Is that what you are saying?

I don't think anyone is doubting Dak regular season stats. The problem is when the Bills come to town Dallas might as well call up Cole Beasley to play QB because Dak becomes helpless as a baby and needs to be picked up and carried.

That‘s impressive.

It does need to translate to the post season.

Huh??? History has nothing to do with what happened in the GB game. The Cowboys were done before halftime. Period. They weren't coming back. It's safe to say the Cowboys were done after their 3rd possession. By then they were already in a hole to deep to dig out of.
To say they were done at 14-0 makes no rational sense. It either is using circular logic of "they could not win because they did not win" or just requires you to ignore NFL history, including of the most recent playoffs. The amount of times we saw an offense look bad in the first half just to turn it around and win anyway by playing well in the second just seemingly makes your entire point just nonsense.

History does matter because it shows that not only was the game not over, but that only 2 years ago we saw a team come back from having the offense look WORSE in the first half. So the only way the game was over is if we ignore all the times that show otherwise. There are 0 times in NFL history where a team has won when the defense gave up TDs in 6 of its first 7 possessions so that suggests the game is over. The biggest difference between the Cowboys and Jaguars, and most of the rest of the teams in the playoffs even the ones that lost, was the defense was bad the entire game and the offense was bad for a half. We have a lot of examples of offenses being bad for a half and the team winning. We have 0 of the defense that historically bad and winning. The defense not being able to put it together in the 2nd half ended the game.

The more stats you pull up on the this team the more confounding they are.

We’ve got offensive numbers out the wazoo and defensively last year they gave up the 5th fewest points and yards ( less yards than the Ravens and 9er’s) through 17 games.

So what gives? They just turn to mush on both sides of the ball in the playoffs. It’s not just the O or the D, it’s inexplicably a collective suck.
They did win 12 games.

The Cowboys were done because the Packers controlled both lines of scrimmage and controlled the game. In other words, the Packers were a much better team as much as I hate to say it.

There is no real leadership.

Ppl say Dak is a leader but please someone send me a clip that shows an example of it.

Your never going to win with these Dak supporting idiots. It's always going to be the defense, running game or Oline. There are games where the defense did their job and Dak couldn't put together anything and the defense eventually just wore down.
Dak couldn't lead a team to a SB if he were on the 49ers, Chiefs, Bills, Ravens or any other NFL team. He's just not good enough in big games. He can't even beat the Cardinals or Broncos. He gets pantsed all the time and has to make up for it with stats against the bad NFC East Giants and Commanders.

There is a lot to say about what MM was able to do in year 1 of taking over the offense. He turned Dak from a top QB in getting picked into one of the best in the league.
+1 .....No one is talking much about this but they should. He had Dak playing on a different level.....which is why the GB game was such a head-turner.

Not like the defense doesn't tank in playoff games too.
In the 2021 playoffs the defense allowed 23 points while the offense could only put 17 on the board. 2022 - the defense held SF to 19 points while the offense could only muster 12.

So tell me, which part of the team failed to show up in those two playoff games? Is the defense expected to shut out their opponents so the offense has a chance to score enough points? Seems to me a lack of offense is why Dallas lost both of those games.

This is part of direction today...

  1. The Dallas Cowboys see another defensive chess piece in third-round linebacker Marist Liufau."Number one, he's brilliant," defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer told reporters. "He catches on really quick. He wants to be so good and so intense that he's almost too much at it right now. The other thing is I think he's a really good pressure player and I think having that with (Micah) Parsons and another pressure player that is a linebacker or he can move somewhere else and Parsons can move somewhere else. I think those pieces add to confusion for the offense, plus he's a really good rusher. "

Liufau isn't just a box player, though. He didn't allow a single touchdown when in coverage over the last two seasons, according to Pro Football Focus.

For the Cowboys, the coaching staff has a good problem on its hands. Veterans Eric Kendricks, Damone Clark and DeMarvion Overshown are the projected starters. Liufau is going to push Overshown in particular for a spot. But Zimmer can move all of them around to give opposing offenses different looks.

Even if Liufau doesn't find himself in the starting lineup, he'll be a sub-package performer providing flexibility for the entire unit.
