The game was a tale of two halves. In the first half, 49ers' offense controlled T.O.P. and capitalized on practically every possession, while its defense contained Dallas' offense. Subsequently, Dallas' defense could not stop the 49ers offense
and its offense kept gifting the 49ers with additional time of possession. Extra time that likely both added additional points for the 49ers
and wore Dallas' defense down even more.
The second half was a more balanced contest between both teams. Dallas' offense gained the edge on T.O.P., while its defense negated the 49ers' offense from capitalizing on 2/3 of its drives.
However, the damage was already done in the first half. Dallas' second half offense could not match San Francisco's first half offensive output. The close final score reflected the four-quarter effort and efficiency for the teams, both offensively and defensively.
