Thats Dak for ya! Mr Rah rah rah talks a good game but crumbles in the playoffs. GB drives right down the field and Dak does EXACTLY what he shouldn't do. 3 and out! Hahahaha
That game was over the minute we saw Prescotts opening drive.
Not to mention that one drive where the Cowboys were in FG range and he takes a sack essentially taking them out of FG range. That's Dak Prescott's game for you. When you need him to step up he falters. And before people start blaming the line etc. Ask yourself, how many times over his 9 years as QB have we seen him eat sacks like that by holding onto the ball instead of just throwing it away?

Our FG kicker was all world last year. His accuracy from distance didn’t just put points on the board, it allowed MM to be more aggressive on third downs from distance. Aubrey was 10 for 10 from 50+ Out.
Really really good point right there.

:lmao::lmao::lmao2::lmao2: That’s a good one!
You must be out of your mind. This franchise has been irrelevant for ~30 years and this fan base is the strongest in the entire nfl. Get a clue.

Yeah. The fans on here aren’t any good. They show up in here day in and day out no matter how crappy this organization is. Bozo

yeah, we are the biggest sporting franchise in the world for nothing. Try again. You don’t get much of anything right. I’m not surprised

The run game was non-existent from a physicality standpoint. Football is physical and the Cowboys weren‘t which is why they struggle in the playoffs. Just imagine playing center for the Cowboys and getting pushed back on almost every run play or pass protect. If you’re getting dominated like that it’s a hopeless feeling knowing there’s nothing you can do except cheat. That’s what happened on a couple of positions on the line. And then there’s are wonderful interior line that you think is good enough to win a Super Bowl. No, you’ve probably never said that but you have numerous times put all the blame on the QB. And as for your last statement, what’s the hardest part of building a dominant run game? Dominant run blocking. Cowboys have addressed that at least on paper. Hopefully the RB position hasn’t been settled yet.

No, you are too used to defending the guy to get everyone’s position correctly. I know that I’m capable of actually being more honest about his shortcomings than you. Most of the time, I point out that he’s been a good QB that can look very good/great when the environment is right. I have pointed out that the environment for him to achieve a SB run is exceedingly difficult to build-which is the foundation of moving on from a guy that continues to become exceedingly expensive as he gets nearer to his shelf life expiration.

That’s not the same as placing all blame onto one individual. It’s called pragmatism. Part of accepting some of his shortcomings is the understanding (and acceptance) that some of his success is due to his surrounding talent. Last season, the OL was not very successful at run blocking but were very good at pass blocking in the majority of games last season including the first half of the GB game. This QB’s shortcomings are highlighted when the passing game must succeed against better opposing defenses when the stage gets largest/brightest.

I agree that he would greatly benefit from an elite run game. It is difficult to build a great run game, both from a personnel standpoint and a philosophical standpoint. The team uses the short and midrange passing game in place of a run game-and that’s not just because of the strengths of the team-it’s the primary philosophy of the signal caller/coordinator. It’s the West Coast offense-and it will continue to be even with better run blocking. There were 4 teams that I would consider elite running teams from last season. The Ravens, 49ers, Lions, and Dolphins. They all had better run blocking (and backs) than this squad, but more importantly had core philosophy/scheme that translates to more success rushing the ball. That was built over several years with both personnel and coaching decisions.

The more stats you pull up on the this team the more confounding they are.

We’ve got offensive numbers out the wazoo and defensively last year they gave up the 5th fewest points and yards ( less yards than the Ravens and 9er’s) through 17 games.

So what gives? They just turn to mush on both sides of the ball in the playoffs. It’s not just the O or the D, it’s inexplicably a collective suck.
It's because the poor coaching did not prepare the team properly

No discipline no accountability letting players plan parties for victory before it happens .

Weak coaching rears its ugly head in the playoffs and leaves you watching from your couch

Warren Sharp's totals are correct but they are for drives ending in punts, turnovers and on downs. Actually, Dallas had a smaller number of drives that ended in punts and turnovers at 59. Below are the league totals for drives ending in punts, turnovers and downs:

Interesting how Dallas had the least number of drives in the entire league.

All our wonderful offensive #s have to exclude post season. That’s what the homers hang their hat on. Keep buying those tickets and merchandise.
Yes. If only we can organize a real boycott of the team we can force Jerry’s hand and remake the team how we want it!! Or we can put a spell on Jerry that makes him think he wants to sell the team!

Except those are both stupid ideas that won’t work.

Dak ended most drives with a TD pass. Shocking when you consider it was a new offense and had no NFL running game.
Actually this stat I'd like to see. I'd like to see the break down of TDs/FGs and then a break down of RZ TDs/TDs beyond that. Passing TDs are great but those short yardage TDs where we run the ball in are important too. I am not a fan of bringing Zeke BUT he could be a big help here.

Nope. Dak sucked every bit as much as the defense. I don't understand why the Davidians refuse to see that.
All they see are those meaningless numbers he racked up vs 2nd and 3rd string players, playing prevent, when the game was out of hand.
