For half a year four million sounds about right. For a full year 11 million easy. But Dak's cap hit is 49 million next year. Tank's hit is 26 million, so it sounds like we'd lose Tank or Zeke to keep OBJ.

As a Homer... forget OBJ. If we have to lose one of our home grown players for him, I don't want him. I like our guys.
like our guys mindset is why this team cant get over the hump

Schuster isn't a slot person. I don't think so. We could have gotten him if we tried. We knew we needed speed and Julio Jones could have given us that. But our front office didn't even try. I think they are too lazy or too slow to act. Especially Capboy.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers have completed 9 games of the 2022 season.
Julio Jones has missed 5 of them.
In the 4 games he's played in, this is what he has done___
8 catches for 125 yards, 1 TD....and 69 of those yards came in the first game versus the Cowboys (on 3 catches, plus 2 rushes for 17 yds).
So for the rest of Jones' production in three other games- 5 catches for 56 yards and 1 TD.

Would The Cowboys Take Up Cap Space For a 1 to 2 Year Deal For OBJ? at 10 Mill a Year.

What Is Your All Thoughts On This One>
I wouldn’t
Rather keep the money to pay our own guys who aren’t over the hill

I've seen some other sources saying a deal may hover more around $4-6 mil a year. At that price I think the signing is a no-brainer.
He’s not getting 10 mil a year
4-6 sounds more realistic if it’s for more than just the remainder of the year
His rams contract was 1.2 mil
No one is giving him 10 mil

Cooper had had issues on both teams he’s played for
Sound like the issue may be him
All top receivers are divas. They want the ball.
The "good" quarterbacks, quarterbacks who understand the psyche of players, learn to navigate diva personalities.
Aikman did it with Michael Irvin; Peyton did it with Marvin Harrison, Brady with Randy Moss, Mahomes with Tyreek Hill, Romo with TO, etc.
Maybe it was on Amari Cooper. But Cooper produced when he got the ball.
It was up to Kellen Moore and Dak to try to make it work. For whatever reason, they didn't.
It's not all on Amari. It rarely ever is on one person unless that person is straight cra-cra, and that wasn't Cooper.

I don’t think it was all on Cooper but he did have issues with Raiders also
Most are Divas and that’s fine but I like the idea of throwing to the guy who is open over forcing it to the diva myself

Name of trade or a free agency pickup that's gotten us over the hump, in the last 26 years? Nothing they've done had worked. So don't just blame one aspect, of the situation, like an unknowledgeable person.

Dak 49 million and Tank 26 million against the cap next year. We also have 22 free agents next year. We need to roll over as much cap as we can. So spending 4 million of our free 5 million on OBJ, is just crazy to me. Especially when you can't name the last free agent we picked up that got us over the hump.

they absolutely will not have to at this point in the season and his career but if he can somehow get that from someone, more power to him.
You must not be aware of what OBJ wants from his new potential team. He wants a 4-year meaningful commitment to him. He's not interested in just securing employment for just the rest of this season. So you need to "absolutely" educate yourself before fallaciously counterpointing one of my points. Just saying. ;)
