Funny how nobody said anything negative....until this.
Well, it didn't take long for the comments about Zeke either.
It was the right move, but there was no need for either comment, the one you referred to and about Zeke.

I like what we have done so far…signed 2 guys that were affordable and played well for us last year with not much guaranteed. Got a vet CB opposite Diggs for a compensatory pick. Got rid of an aging guy who was a great team guy but whose time had come. Not much to dislike. I’d like to see a WR move and interior D lineman snd then go nuts on the draft but no complaints

Where my Cowboys PTSD comes on is seeing these moves, kind of getting a little pants dance going and then somehow things go not as planned. But I’ll enjoy this for the week

I thought Stephen and Jerry were on the yacht doing nothing.

I read it in here a lot this last week. I mean A LOT!
they could have been on the yacht, and??

i gues you never heard of the internet, zoom, cell phones, fax machines, and the fact that They have 100s of staff members working under them to assist in all of this. Odd big corporations can do business all over the world form behind a PC.. yet, JOnes family somehow needs to be stuck at the ranch/STar to lok like they are doing something. most of this type of business is done via, Fax, phone, email, and a PC all in this day and age can be done form plane, trane, yacht or an island. when needed they helicopter to an airfield get on their private jet get back asap to sign papers.

irony is many of you and others around the world work solely from behind a pc/ipad/iphone FROM HOME fulltime. ie REMOTE but they cant or fans see it as not caring and being lazy.

But hey its an old narrative fun little quips that seem to be copy and paste to mock the jones family.. keep on keeping on. fun part of being billionaire is being able to delegate and run their corporations from anywhere.

I mean do you blame them after last season ........ I know the Jerry Sycophants love everything he does but you are not one and should be able to see why people thought they were gonna wait a week before starting.

Mar 15, 2023Leighton Vander EschOLBRe-signed Two-year extension (through 2024)
Mar 15, 2023Ezekiel ElliottRBCut
Mar 15, 2023Stephon GilmoreCBTraded for 2023 5th-round pick
Mar 14, 2023Donovan WilsonDBRe-signed Three-year extension (through 2025)
Mar 6, 2023Tony PollardRBDesignated franchise player non-exclusive franchise tag

They were able to keep their top 2 FA’s in LVE and Wilson. Got rid of a bad contract in Zeke. Traded for a position of need in Gilmore. Restructured several contracts and currently have over 16 million in cap space for future trades or signings. And don’t forget getting rid of Moore and keeping Quinn.

And I believe, more to come.
I’m liking the start as well. Adding a veteran FA solid #2 receiver and not relying on the draft for one would be most excellent……..of course signing DHop and putting CeeDee back in the slot would be amazing

I really hope for a 1T on defense and I’m pretty happy heading into the draft on that side.
Would love a WR, LG and DT
DT, G, RB, TE and WR need to addressed in FA and Draft. My preference is getting a vet G and WR. DT, RB and TE must be a focus in the draft. DT early.

LVE is damaged goods and I don't like that signing.
Why? He has balled out under Dan Quinn two years in a row and signed for WAY under market value. It's one of the best deals for a starting LB in the league.

What do you not like about Robinson, or is it not using that high of a pick?
Love the guy, just not the high pick. Tons of backs in this years draft and in FA. I would rather see them take a guard to improve the line and a lessor back.

Take a look at this kid Isreal out of Pitt and tell me you wouldnt love him to combine with Pollard. Can probably get this kid in the 4th round.

Yeah he looks pretty good. I watched half of it so far. I can be on board in the 4th for him.

I'm hoping he brings something to the team beyond his on field play, that we don't see. Maybe he is a solid "glue guy" in the locker room. Those guys have value, if he is one.

I like LVE. He brought it last season. It does seem like he is always a play away from IR, though.

Someone else must be running the show for them to be making so many sensible moves. I'm surprised they haven't announced a Dak extension which could be good news.

From draft analysis, he is a 5' 10" 216-pound 'plodder' type back that ran a 4.5 time in the 40. He may make a good #2 or #3 back but truth be told it would be nice to get a running back more in the mold of Pollard (a speedy back that can make catches out of the backfield) especially given Pollard is coming off a major injury and is on a 1-year franchise tag.
I really like Devon Achane. Although smaller at 5' 8" and 188 pounds, he ran a 4.32 time in the 40 and is a former track star with madden joystick moves with a constant home run threat. He is projected as a 2nd round prospect and would fit nicely in the Dallas backfield.
