Hey now relax. Not everybody is the eagles with unlimited cap
they signed a 32 year old Cb and was lauded for it..now shopped him and then kept him also lost 5 key players already and more might be coming. they aren't adding to their team, they are filling the players lost.. this is what most teams do, from the outside looks like wow look at all the shiny new FAS but no one sees they are replacing a player with an equal player they lost not much of an imporvement,.they are mostly lateral moves lose open sign one go look at most the of teams moves see players in and out and most is just balanced transaction list.

this is pretty much what our FO does..losig possibly Jlew and Brown bring in Gilmore. good move might be an improvement but just a move to fill a need with a good player.,.

lol the expectations are so low around here that this is considered a good start?

We've re-signed our own players, which we always do. Other than that, we have only signed one player and the only reason he was signed was because he was cheap.

Yada yada yada.

Vander Esch instead of Wagner. No skill position upgrade of any kind yet. No DT. Spare me. This current team still loses to the 49ers.

From draft analysis, he is a 5' 10" 216-pound 'plodder' type back that ran a 4.5 time in the 40. He may make a good #2 or #3 back but truth be told it would be nice to get a running back more in the mold of Pollard (a speedy back that can make catches out of the backfield) especially given Pollard is coming off a major injury and is on a 1-year franchise tag.
I really like Devon Achane. Although smaller at 5' 8" and 188 pounds, he ran a 4.32 time in the 40 and is a former track star with madden joystick moves with a constant home run threat. He is projected as a 2nd round prospect and would fit nicely in the Dallas backfield.
Arcane sound more like a Turpin replacement at least for the return game. Then they can get a different WR that can actually contribute.
Then Arcane can contribute in the run game as well be the return guy.

Plodder? Did you watch the video? Thats not the way he looks on tape. Great vision, shifty, nice movement and agility.

Big play back that can catch out of the backfield. Reminds me a lot of Pollard.

Achane is good as well. Little too small for my liking.

Dont think we need to go as high as the 2nd round to get another good back. Ill take a look at Achane on tape.
I watched the video you posted. I also watched the video someone posted a Tony Dorsett, all his TD's.

Kind of similar IMO.

You never really know what's gonna happen with these gum flappers. That's the problem with people who talk from both sides of their mouths constantly, we just can't trust what they say.

I am surprised, in a good way, they traded for gilmore.
Welcome to the typical off-season. :muttley:

The two players they lost that hurt will/would be Hargreaves and CGJ and CGJ could still be back. They lost Edwards and White but do have Dean to step in. Same at DT with Davis.

It's obvious you haven't seen next year's schedule.
Lol, the Cowboys are one of the best teams in the NFC.
Can't go by the teams on the schedule, as many change from year to year.
The 2nd place schedule to me looks harder than the Eagles 1st place schedule, at this point.

Last year it seemed we had a weak schedule, and it turned out the Eagles had a pop Warner schedule and we had one of the tougher ones.

Even if all stays the same roster wise as of now, Dallas will be one of the top NFC teams.
Many fans on here (as usual) will go with the Eagles, or even the Giants, as they never give their own team any credit.

Pundits as well, will slobber over Philly and SF and GB if the ex State Farm guy stays.
I can guarantee if the Lions make some good moves and draft well, some will say they will be better than us. The fact is, Dallas is still top 5 in the NFC if not higher.

That false narrative just won't die. I'll keep quoting one of my earlier posts until it does.

Except for three games, the Cowboys and Eagles had the same schedule. In those three difference games - Dallas had Tampa Bay/Cincinnati/LA Rams, Philadelphia had New Orleans/Pittsburgh/Arizona - both teams were 2-1, so it was a wash, it made no difference to the final standings.

The Cowboys and Eagles played each other twice and both teams were 1-1, so again it was a wash and made no difference to the final standings.

The remaining 12 games on the schedule were against the exact same teams. The Cowboys were 9-3 and the Eagles were 11-1. It came down to the Green Bay and Jacksonville games. The Eagles won both and the Cowboys lost both. That was the difference between the #5 seed and the #1 seed.

Against the Packers the Cowboys had a 28-14 lead going into the 4th quarter. The Cowboys defense allowed the Packers to tie the game and send it into overtime. The Cowboys got the ball first. On 3rd and 3 Dak threw an incomplete pass to Lamb. On 4th and 3 Dak threw an incomplete pass to Pollard. The Cowboys had 2 downs to make a measly 3 yards, with the highest paid running back group in the NFL, and Moore called two pass plays. The Packers got the ball on their own 35, went down the field, and kicked the game winning field goal.

Against the Jaguars, the Cowboys had a 27-24 lead going into the 4th quarter. The Jaguars scored a touchdown to take the lead but the Cowboys answered with a touchdown to take the lead back. Then the Jaguars fumbled with only 1:38 left in the game. All the Cowboys had to do is make one first down and run out the clock to win the game. But the Cowboys went 3 and out, and the Jaguars scored a field goal to send the game into overtime. The Jaguars got the ball first but their drive stalled and they had to punt. The Cowboys gained 27 yards on 3 running plays, then Moore called for a pass and Dak threw a pick 6.

The Eagles played the same two teams and won both games. That was the difference between the #1 seed and the #5 seed. Not the schedule.

This. There is absolutely no reason for a thread like this at this point.:huh:

Mar 15, 2023Leighton Vander EschOLBRe-signed Two-year extension (through 2024)
Mar 15, 2023Ezekiel ElliottRBCut
Mar 15, 2023Stephon GilmoreCBTraded for 2023 5th-round pick
Mar 14, 2023Donovan WilsonDBRe-signed Three-year extension (through 2025)
Mar 6, 2023Tony PollardRBDesignated franchise player non-exclusive franchise tag

They were able to keep their top 2 FA’s in LVE and Wilson. Got rid of a bad contract in Zeke. Traded for a position of need in Gilmore. Restructured several contracts and currently have over 16 million in cap space for future trades or signings. And don’t forget getting rid of Moore and keeping Quinn.

And I believe, more to come.
NO NO NO NO !!! This is a clown show! Our front office does nothing! They are the most inept bunch of losers ever assembled.

We won't make any moves until Jerry's dead !!!! No No No NO !!!!!

Great Post!!!
