Cowboys were a healthy team last season too(Yes even Romo since he was the backup against the Packers). The Eagles made it to the Super Bowl without Wentz, Peters, Hicks, and Sproles.

Here’s the numbers from 2012 back to 1990 when the current playoff format was implemented. I attached the graphic from NFL.com and copied key stats.

From 1990 -2012 breakdown of seeds (regardless of conference) of the champions: 1 (9), 2 (6), 3 (1), 4 (4), 5 (1), 6 (2).

• The last No. 1 seed to win the Super Bowl was the 2009 Saints (NFC).

• The last No. 1 seed in the AFC to win the Super Bowl was the 2003 Patriots.

• No. 1 seeds have won just two of the last 13 Super Bowls. In the 10 seasons prior to that streak, the No. 1 seeds won the Super Bowl seven times.

I was told you can’t expect your coach to produce if there are injuries.

That myth was utterly destroyed and tonight highlights just how mediocre this staff has been.

Yep. Mickey Spagnola tried to explain this to us last week.

In 2007 our offense was basically figured out by the end of the season, meaning we basically lost because of Garrett.. Romo couldn’t even get a Dallas some season passing record against the hapless Commanders that year in the last regular season game and he played close to a whole half.

Tonight was rough for Garrett supporters.

Every Garrett excuse was made laughable tonight.

Can’t win without your best player. Whoops.

Can’t win without your LT. Whoops.

Can’t win without your best LB. Whoops.

Takes time to properly build a legit SB contender. Whoops.

Yea, most of the Garrett supporters (all 3 of them left) look like total idiots tonight.

Like you said, virtually every excuse they have given for Garrett's laughable coaching record was thrown back in their face tonight. A division rival missing several key players, including their starting QB, just won the NFC Championship with a head coach in his 2nd season. And to boot, this idiot Garrett is the only head coach whose team did not advance to the SuperBowl as a number one seed in the last freaking decade.

Dam, must be a hard pill for those three Garrett supporters to swallow tonight...............maybe they will finally realize that Garrett just sucks?

Jerry has destroyed what was a unique feature of this team with 8 SBs and 5 wins and let that record go bye to the Pats, a large part of it because he appointed his head coach in training the Clapper..

If we fielded a decent coach and the Garrett family was out the picture we could very well prevented this talk about the Bellichek and Brady being the greatest duo in football history..

Not at all. But then I don’t own your list of excuses, either.

Even you Idgit has to admit that it looks pretty damning for Garrett that an division rival with a second year head coach and a backup QB is going to the SuperBowl and meanwhile Garrett is still spinning his wheels after 8 yrs on the job.

Even if you think its not Garrett' fault (which I am sure you do), the optics of the whole situation looks very, very bad for the Clapper.

How many times did the Pats get HF advantage on the way to SB victories?

Doesn't matter if we would draft Baker Mayfield, this team still isn't going any where with Garrett as the head coach.
