There are differences, but life has taught me you get a few chances, then people say enough.

I'm not vindictive, and have sympathy.

Even in a corporate situation, you can be loved and respected, but welcome mats can and have been worn out. My suggestion to link this thread to that HR forum was to get people to think.

While the Cowboys are certainly a corporation the mentality in the locker room requires a different one than the board room or almost any other HR office outside the military and sports. Once someone is family you take the good and bad and stand by your teammate. Maybe I'm too old school. I know this is the way in locker rooms I've been in and in foxholes, too. Your analogy just doesn't hold up here.

Simple. Take a team vote(mostly made up of vets and starters). If they vote yes, then you at least look into the possibility of a return.

A lot of factors need to be weighed before making a decision. If he can play and the team wants him, then I say give him a chance; With a strict probationary period of course.

Mrs. Brown would want this.

Okay, let's face it. If he can play, he should play. The guy knows he did wrong, and should be there to help make sure Brown's kids have the money to be raised properly. He didn't murder the guy. He killed his friend accidentally in a moment of stupidity. By all means let him make some money if he can, and help Brown's family. I have the feeling Brent would do that. It's a tragic accident that could have been avoidd to be sure, but let's NOT put this guy up there with the Night Stalker.

Some common sense thank goodness. Yes, let him help those children. And I suspect he will. We've lost one life and have one on the brink. If we can save it then great.

I'm not some uptight prick so I understand mistakes happen it was the guys best friend. He's played a direct role in his grinds death and spent time in jail. You act as if it was his goal to kill the guy and he should be stoned to death.

Mistake?

I'm sorry did he not know it was illegal to drink and drive? Did he not know that drinking caused impairment as it pertains to driving?

Unless he didn't know those things then it wasn't a mistake. It was a stupid choice. An extremely stupid choice.
