And it is quite sad that some on here are willing to hurt the team so they can say "take that!" to other Cowboys fans they disagree with.
He's not coming back. McCarthy is just being nice.McCarthy sounds like he would like to have him back.
It does make sense.Id welcome him on a minimum salary.
This is the Cowboy way now and people love mediocrity here.Let's bring back someone who can barely average one blade of grass per carry. Reclassify him as a "short yard specialist."He’s a progress stopper at this point. We should have moved on a while back. No need to double down on the mistake and keep him around.
I don't believe he has to be a progress stopper, though. He’s a progress stopper at this point. We should have moved on a while back. No need to double down on the mistake and keep him around.

You can't make this stuff up.
I'd say 10 to 12. All short-yardage plays at the least. Depending on how Jones and Vaughn look, he also could be used to spell Pollard for a series or two. Pollard probably doesn't need to go above 20 touches per game. (Notice that's not 20 snaps, but just how many times he carries or receives the ball.)I wouldn't mind him coming back.
But for $1 million plus incentives.
He'd be good for 4 to 6 carries a game.
Plus he could be our back up center lmao
This sounds about right......incentives could push to 5 mil.3 mill per plus incentives is a good deal
Luepke is most definitely a fullback. He may not only be a fullback, but he can make the short yardage plays. They didn't draft a fullback.
He may be the answer on short yardage, but we certainly don't know that at this point. Might not even make the team.Luepke is most definitely a fullback. He may not only be a fullback, but he can make the short yardage plays.
1 yard and a cloud of dust.12 tds
Too many backs. We're probably not keeping more than four, and that's even if we keep a fullback. I think if Elliott does get brought back, it is probably at Jones' expense. Malik would end up on the practice squad, which is where I expect him to end up anyway if Deuce shows anything. Luepke takes the place of a tight end, most likely McKeon.I'm not saying Tony can't handle 25 to 30 but we don't definitively that he can. What's wong with a breakdowm like this
Zeke 10 -15 depending on effectiveness and Game flow.
Tony 15-20 Bulk of the carries see how he holds up
Deuce 10-15 Splash plays
Malik and the boys get carries as needed
That's how you take care of your running Game
Tony Pollard
Zeke Elliot
Hunter Luepke
Deuce
Malik
Ronald Jones
That's a Solid Backfield
If we need 1 yard, that's a good thing. He was one of the top short-yardage backs in the league last year. There is value in that.1 yard and a cloud of dust.
It's Groundhog day around here.My gosh.... this again?
Dallas really failed to acquire a solid #2 back in the off-season, and Zeke might have a little left in the tank, but who are you going to cut (or leave unprotected on the PS)? This would be such a huge step backwards. The team made the difficult decision to move on- so move on!
