Cowboys open to bringing back Zeke

It appears Zeke is still looking to get paid pretty well and doesn’t want to play second fiddle to another back. He’ll have to come down from that if he wants to play this year.

The inability to get around the edge and powerful, bone crushing one yard runs must be attractive to some team.

Appearing on the Saturday morning episode of SportsCenter, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler noted the Cowboys haven't "closed the door" on a reunion with Elliott in 2023:
I honestly don't think he could beat out Tyler Biadasz. I expect the Cowboys to give him an extension and being the starting center for the Cowboys a long time.

What he has left isn’t attractive for the price he’s probably looking for. I don’t know if he’s gotten any offers or he’s just waiting around until someone suffers an injury. He may feel that could increase his value. He still may feel he can be a feature back and doesn’t want to be a caddy for another back.

Let’s hope this is clickbait nonsense. The team can’t be serious with this!

So far he's taking some 1st team snaps. All accounts are that he's really impressed them. A multi-tool player, we'll see how well he blocks in training camp.
Oh, I'm excited about him, but I've been excited about UDFAs before that fizzled instead of sizzled.

I've gotta wonder if Schoonmaker may be capable of filling the vacant spot likely to be left by Zeke. Food for thought. If nothing else; it's worth a try.
