Cowboys or Eagles. Who Recovers the Fastest?

It will depend on how many changes each team makes. If you blow everything up it’s going to take longer. Both teams are going to have to figure out the root of their problems. Unfortunately ours have been going on for 20+ years. We can’t seem to put our finger on why we fold in the playoffs.

Hate to say it but Eagles.

Eagles have won a SB.. rebuilt again, made the SB.. and then wheels fell off this year.. all that in the same time as Dak has led us to continued failure.

I have no doubt that Eagles will make the right changes and be right back at the pointy end next season.

Meanwhile I think JJ does fire MM but he extends Dak.. they feel that a few tweaks and a couple of players will get them there. Rinse and repeat for the next 6 years.

Dallas. It could be argued without the tush push Philly has a losing a record. How many times did they use this play on 4th and short when most teams would punt to extend drives and on the goal line.

Dallas was the better team this year. But Dallas still came up woefully short when it mattered most.

You can ignore history if you want but facts are the Eagles are more adept at changing on the fly, calling out their mistakes, not getting too loyal to players or coaches, not afraid of change, not afraid of taking chances. Philly won a SB in 2017 with an older team, stripped it down, got rid of their supposed franchise QB, rebuilt the team and was back in the SB 5 years later.

We have 2 playoff wins total over the same period.

What exactly is "recovered" for the Cowboys? Getting back to the divisional round since that's the best this current team has done? Sure, I like our chances. We have the better roster and coaches then Philly does at this moment.

I know we're not talking SB bc it's unlikely either are there again for a while.

What does Recover actually mean? Does that mean reach a Super Bowl? If so I'd probably guess the Eagles since they've been to 3 with 3 different coaching staffs and rosters since we've been to 1.

Tough question. A lot will be determined on the paths both teams take this offseason. I will say though, this draft is really important to dallas. They are pick deficient so that gets off to a tough start. While it is too early to fully judge a draft class, this years draft class for Dallas looks really bad. Show me any declining team and it is usually because of very little value received in 2-3 draft classes. If Dallas has another bad class, it won't be long until it creates a pretty good hole in the roster. Tough to fight your way out of that over time.

Their GM also busted all over the place in his draft and fa selections. Sure...he is willing to make moves...a lot of them are dumb and dumb luck.

Hate to say it, but, Philadelphia. They won a SB, fired the HC, cut bait with a QB who was the #2 pick in the draft and after all of that...went to a SB last season and have made the playoffs 3 consecutive seasons.

Their track record says they will get back on track relatively quickly. Dallas does not have that track record.

Hum looked like every game I've seen dak play when he's up again a good defense, and runs like Forest Gump with braces on.
