Improved at line backer, worse on the d line, worse on the o line, worse at running back, arguably worse at corner once it’s clear Gilmore is gone.

The bar isn’t being better than Washington or New York
You don't even know who the new players will be and how they will play.

Under.

If they go into the season without extending Dak, it could get real ugly, real quick. Everyone knows he doesn't carry pressure well. The teammates & families will just get louder. As will the fans if it's stinky.

If the OL repairs are good, maybe squeak above .500 .... but that DL looks to be horrendous .... so I think that still cancels any OL improvements out.

I think it's going to be very dysfunctional. I could see 6 or fewer wins.

I don’t bet but I may actually take the easy money on this one.

I would expect 12 wins like the last 3 years.
... and a 1st round exit in the playoffs.
This time it will be at the hand (or arm) of Kirk Cousins
and the Atlanta Falcons.

How fitting, Dak's final game as a Cowboy will be to,
of all people, Kirk Cousins. Amari Cooper will be laughing hysterically.

I'd take the under and run to Hawaii if I were a betting man
Man....bet the under like there is no tomorrow. Mortgage the house....cash in that 401K.....pull the kids college money. Take out that payday loan. Go back to school and take out that Student loan to the max. Max out all the credit cards....Rob your neighbor...sell your dog...take out every penny of your savings.....sell your bitcoin....and put it all on the Cowboys sucking *** in 2024.

You forgot "sell your wife".. I will also take the bet that Dak doesn't finish the season as our QB1, albeit injury or benched

Injuries will definitely come into to play with regard to winning 10 games or more.

Of bigger concern, however, is finding adequate replacements for the OL and DE lost. Said a different way: if we can't run the ball, protect Dak and pressure the opposing QB, it will be a very long and frustrating season orherwise

Wait - did you really say that ? You thought last years team was better than our 90's team(s)?
I thought they were pretty damn good and they did end up the division champion and the number 2 spot.

You don't even know who the new players will be and how they will play.

Which means there are unknowns all over the roster, so you can’t say they’ll be better. Most of the positions being filled are guys we are hoping to make a leap or rookies we draft. We also do know the cowboys cap issues, we know the vets who they bring in will be lateral moves at best since 1) they don’t spend on free agents and 2) most cap casualties will be role players or out of the cowboys price range.

So just to be as good as the team was last year will take a lot of luck in the draft for immediate help and tremendous leaps from several players. Anyone who’s not blinded by the star can see this team needs so much to go right just to be as good

Three straight 12-5 seasons. They’ll find a way. I think the 2024 draft weighted heavily to OL - then find capable defensive help from the leftover FA pool. Key word: capable… Maybe make a shock trade of one of their most-valued stars.

I honestly believe they’ll make a reasonable effort to win THIS SEASON.

Over 10. <ducks>

I'm usually an eternal optimist about the Cowboys but there ain't no way I'm picking the over.

The only pick that could be "on the money" is the Cowboys. You can't win half a game unless you tie.

10-7 seems real for the Cowboys. I think Washington is off. They have to deal with a rookie QB starting.I think the Giants will crumble. I'm thinking the Eagles get all the breaks like they did early last season and win enough going away with the division.

This isn't exactly a rebuild for the Cowboys but it is a reload at the least.

Too many positions need filling and not enough draft picks.
