How is it possible to come from one of the most wealthiest families in the USA and treat your business bottom-line and milk them for pennies...I don't see the Yankees or Lakers being run like this.

Lakers go out and make sure they are competitive, otherwise it hurts their brand - these two idiots want their brand to die with Dak

Get ready. The sales pitch is coming. Here is a list of Jerry-isms coming Thursday night:
  • The word “uh” uttered to Guinness world record proportions.
  • The phrase “in my mind”.
  • The phrase “he was who we wanted all along” guranteed.
  • The phrase “we had him rated as a top ten player”
  • The phrase ”all in”…..over/under set at 5.
  • A non-sensical word salad response to a softball question from the beat writers. After which no one has any idea what it could possibly mean.
  • Stephen will giggle. Over/under at 5.
  • Mike McCarthy will feature his version of “failed smile” where he tries to look happy and “onboard”. He will say something positive about the pick being “an outstanding football player”.
  • Will McClay will be allowed one quote.
I can't wait for the narrative driven "updated" draft board that justifies why they reached for a player,.

The poor Cowboys interns who print out colored and laminated, detailed charts and guides with all of the draftable players, only for Jerry to write everything on a napkin to show everyone at the draft presser it all played out exactly how they thought it would.

Edit: Adding a tweet.

GM is blaming the salary cap...lol

Jerry Jones' message to the #Cowboys fanbase on inactivity in free agency: "I think our structure and our involvement at every level that we are in our process of getting personnel is ideal for making good decisions." Led with referencing Dallas' cap space, and compares it to college scholarships — alluding to having a fixed amount of "scholarships" to award. "It's not a lack of money. It's a part of the rules of this game — is to have a salary cap."

GM Jethro is allowed to talk again? He needs to start getting q-cards and make sure he has predetermined questions.

Jerry has an uncanny ability to flap his gums for 45 mins and say pretty much nothing or reach no new point he hasn't already made 50 times previously..

So, why would anyone subject themselves to any of his press conferences??

Are there NFL teams who are only partially in on the upcoming draft?

Kanas City GM: " I mean, I guess we will make the picks, but we don't really expect much out of this draft."

San Francisco GM: "Personally, I hate the draft. If you would like all my picks, make me an offer."

Jerry: "We are all in on this draft."
Cowboys (Jones) Fan Boys: "Oh my God we are going for it!"

Jane Slater asked about them not being more proactive regarding contracts instead of waiting until training camp and they gave her word salad. These guys sound ridiculous.

This only makes it more obvious that Jerry needs Bellichick. Jerry is turning into an embarrassment and he desperately needs some credibility.

Thats the problem....the Cowboys have been good enough for them to cut corners and still be relevant. Personally I think they are playing with fire this year and may actually flirt with missing the post season.

Also the inevitable…

“We had him ranked….(higher than taken)”

With absolutely no regard for the idea that he they may have over rated that player, but that they got a definite steal.

It’s not a Cowboys thing. It’s very rare that any team in any draft finds mid round impact players, let alone immediate ones.

Yet they always insist that will happen consistently. I’m not even sure it’s a sales job as much as they just over evaluate their own players.

If anyone wants to argue, please begin with letting me know when guys like Josh Ball and Matt Waletzko are going to ever find the field, and that’s naming only two of many.

They just aren’t any good at this and never will be.

this would be good for us fans long-term - we need something dire to happen to force changes... the last dire thing to happen was letting Dez Bryant go for WR by committee and admitting the mistake 1/2 way into the season.

we need an epic mishap, that mishap may be letting Dak play with less talent and proving he is taking this franchise backwards and not forward.

The only time it eased was with Parcells and Jerry complained he wasn't "having fun" anymore after awhile.

Jerry is literally the metroplex Joker. It's ok to burn the Cowboys down as long as he is "happy" ..

this one gave me a chuckle...I'll add a surprise here and say if he shows us the draft board again his time may be coming to an end lol

Well baseball has 162 games. Cowboys only have to sell out 8-9 games a year. Plus they could easily sell out with just the fans that don't like the Cowboys.

Either these guys have a larger plan for the big three and are looking to move on from someone, or this is a massive con job.

To say you can't be active in free agency because of the salary cap, but have ways to instantly fix said cap issues and choose to completely ignore those fixes until closer to training camp when the cap room does you no good (aside from roll over to next year) is complete garbage. Maybe....just maybe they have something up their sleeve for draft night, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Literally either the plan is to let Dak play it out and they don't want to say it publicly or these two are the 2 biggest idiots on the face of the earth...They have money and consultants I think it's the former rather than the latter...they look stupid but can't be that dumb.

They bet on the wrong horse Dak a good QB but not the guy in playoffs that we need. Even Jimmy knew he needed a testaverde to back up Troy come playoffs
