We have given up 11 sacks this year #3rd best in the league, before yesterday we were #1 (9).

Sell the BS to someone else
IDC what sacks are saying for the year,

i see pressures and saw the last game stick to LAST GAME 3 sacks by one payer one was called back and many penalties again and they made the O slow .. not seeing D, facts show the lions game was bad game for the OL, period call it like i see it.. want to criticized other players all over this board our OL played poorly last game. Who cares about over the year, this last game was BAD. go back watch it Penalty's and sacks killed drives, game not close if they dont make these mistakes. Same issues in many games we have lost so thanks it was the mighty kittens we played and our D and STs, or we lose that game. the penalty's are as bad as sacks and TOS, they kill drives.

I’d agree. Sacks are a piece of the puzzle but can’t be the only thing you look at when evaluating the OL play.

We’re also top 5 in penalties in the NFL, I’m sure of which a lot are on the OL, which is awful. Maybe there isn’t a direct correlation to penalties and skill level but I think you could argue lesser talented players are usually the ones doing more holding and causing more false starts.

You can’t have superstars at every position. Considering Dallas lost their LT before the season started and had to throw a rookie in there to patch it, I think they’ve done a fine job

Of course not, but think it’s a legit area of concern if our run game gets locked down and we have to lean on the passing game.

I think this is also why Dallas should’ve done their due diligence in FA to get a quality swing tackle and the Jones blew it.

Don't mean this to be a dig at Dak, but he has a tendency to hold onto the ball

This is an important point that isn't a simple stat for people to focus on. Dak doesn't take what's there often enough. 1st or 2nd receiver is open for a short gain take it. Keep moving forward & keep the down & distance manageable.

Frustrate the defense and help out your Oline all at the same time.

exactly those ra like Turnovers all those stalled drives playing behind the chains, having big plays called back, the OL is playing well but they have issues that in the past lie the 49er playoff game, they torpedoed that game. penalty's, no holes for the run game, having the qb have to move a lot to find a lane to a pass in, all those are not high sack totals but make it difficult for an offense to stay on schedule.

It's a very important piece, but it all comes down to what the Cowboys want their philosophy to be. Personally I would rather see this team focus on moving the sticks consistently. It's not wrong if they prefer to take some negative plays in hopes of getting the bigger chunk yardage though. Cincinnati took that approach to a super bowl last year.

I do think it will be something to keep in mind moving forward if we see struggles with the Oline. Those same Bengals went all out to revamp their oline, yet Burrow is still #2 in the league in sacks taken. Sometimes you cant get players good enough to cover up the holes in your scheme.

Yup…false start backs the O just like a sack does.

I find it hard to believe they are 32nd in the league, but thee is no doubt in my mind they are better run blockers than pass blockers.
They got crushed yesterday on three sperate 3rd and short run plays.
On the TP 3rd and 1 like 3 guys got beat immediately. He kept drifting outside looking for a single OL to win and still couldn't get even one yard. --Schultz actually got beat the worst.

I'm guessing these numbers include TE blocking.

Dak held onto the ball to long a few times. Looking for the deeper routes. Needs to get the ball out. Play action or one on one deep shots will come later. These routes are always deep come back routes or curls that seem to take to long to develop.

Surprising as they had an awesome year last year pass blocking. Run win rate was in the dumpster

Seems to have flipped if true

I think Tyron and Connor Williams made a difference.

Really wish Jerry would’ve done something in FA but no…had to roll with “our guys.”
